I had unit 33H if I'm correct. Superior twin bed room. Paid in total 185,00€ for one night, three person, with breakfast. I didn't find a better offer on short notice for Salzburg. It's not located in old town or near it but it's easily accessible by bus on walk from station. It's more of a residential area. (+) Renovated, private bathroom and WC, separated unit from the main building, access to bus 21, supermarket nearby, 10 minutes walk from main train station. Exceptional buffet type breakfast for 10,00€/person (granola, cornflakes, ham, cheese, jam, nutella, orange juice, lots of bread choice, etc). Great contact, and communication, help from receptionist throughout the stay. (+/-) It's a separate building from the reception. You can hear the neighbour unit talking but that's about it. It wasn't much of an issue as they were senior people and before midnight, it's quiet. The unit is directly giving to a big street so you can hear some noise when you open the windows. The unit is on ground level. Old TV. Don't expect streaming apps on it. Might be able to stream from phone. I didn't try.

The staff at this accommodation were the friendliest I met during my trip to Germany! During check-in, the receptionist gave us a brief introduction to the surrounding area. There are several bus stops just a short walk from the entrance, making it very convenient to get around. We stayed on the second floor in a room with a small private shower, while the toilet was located outside the room. Be careful not to let water spill out while showering. The room had enough power outlets, and they even provided USB ports — super convenient! The space wasn’t large, but it was very well organized, with plenty of storage areas so it didn’t feel cramped. Downstairs, there was hot water and a microwave available for guests. The hotel also provides a transportation card for guests — you can even check in online the day before your stay, and they’ll email the card to you in advance so you can use it right when you arrive at the station. So thoughtful! Just keep in mind that there’s no elevator, so you’ll need to carry your luggage up and down the stairs. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay 👍🏻

+ The staff are friendly and extremely enthusiastic. Even though we arrived earlier than the appointment time, they still let us check in. + What I like most is probably the room. It is very comfortable and fully equipped. They also have air conditioning and lots of electrical sockets (which makes me very frustrated when I go to other places because of the limited sockets). We had 3 people in 1 room, and they had 2 beds (1 single, 1 double) available for that. However, the minus point here is that the window is not tight. I often feel strange and can't sleep well on the first night. Unfortunately, that day was a very windy night, and I had to listen to the loud noise outside all night, and the curtains were blowing gently in the wind, even though the doors were closed. + As for the location, it's okay. It's close to the station with a 10-15 minute walk, but public transportation is limited and late.

We arrived directly from the Salzburg main train station. Despite I insisting on using the rather clear written directions sent prior bt the pensioner one of my family members insisted on using Google maps which took|Us forever to arrive. We arrived around 11 and were told our room was not ready til the late afternoon. We went exploring and returns and checked in. The front desk clerk, forgot his name but reading my Spanish name spoke with me the entire stay in Spanish which was an excellent effort to make me feel at home. He showed us the short cut to the metro, helped us buy the bus pass and showed us that in-return bus stop locations and the handy screen in the pensione lobby that shows us the times of the local buses arriving. He showed us over to our apartment in another building. It was cute and perfect with our very own outdoor balcony/deck/outdoor space with lilac flowers just about the table. The apartment had a full kitchen (minus a washing machine though). It was so close to the train station and since one of my members of the family wanted McDonalds (hello—-anyone visiting Austria and Germany -be prepared on Sundays and national holidays NOTHING IS OPEN or they close super early). We had plans to eat in downtown Salzburg and as the evening was going we realized we had no place to eat so we ended up going to a McDonalds near the apartment. The front desk clerk was so helpful introducing us to a group of Singaporian girls staying in their dormitory and a couple from Colombia that we all ended up sharing contacts and the following morning we all went together yo Hallstatt for the day. Felt like a cute little family business....

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a rather mixed experience.

Room Quality: The room was okay overall – not terrible, but not great either. What really surprised me was reading an old review from eight years ago mentioning that the shower was leaking water onto the bathroom floor. Shockingly, after all that time, the problem still hasn’t been fixed. It’s disappointing to see that long-term issues like this haven’t been addressed.

Staff: When we first arrived, a receptionist (who didn’t seem to be German or Austrian) welcomed us very warmly. I was genuinely impressed and thought, “Wow, the staff here are amazing.” Unfortunately, that first impression didn’t last. Later in the afternoon, a different staff member – wearing glasses and slightly balding on top – made me extremely angry. I wanted to buy a bottle of water at the reception while he was checking in some guests. I patiently waited (for quite a while), expecting he would serve me once he finished. But instead, he completely ignored me and just moved on to help the next check-in customer, even though I was clearly standing there the whole time. I eventually got my water, but the whole situation felt very disrespectful.

Noise Issues at Night: I really needed a quiet space to rest, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. We could hear everything happening in the hallway – people walking by and talking outside our room. It made it hard to...

We stayed at Pension Elizabeths garden room, on the ground floor (41G) for 7 nights. This was in a separate building across the road from the main building from Pension Elizabeth. The area was very compact with a small kitchen area. It was outside of Salzburg but easy to get to from the station by walking. |The local bus close by and gets you into Salzburg. Buses run frequently. If you do not buy the Salzburg card you can buy transport tickets from the Tabacci near by. |The double bed was NOT comfortable and pushed up against a wall. I requested two pillows as they were so soft. |We noticed that a plastic tub was at the gate area and it was full of water ( catching water from a gutter) and it had green slime at the bottom of it. We emptied this ourselves as it was a drawcard for mosquitoes. We did see mosquitoes. |At night I think the staff may have had a dryer on, drying sheets etc. as each night about 9pm we could hear a noise from the flat behind our wall that I think was a staff quarters. This happened almost each night so if a light sleeper can be a disturbance.|The location was good and also the fact that this area had a secure Free Wi-Fi. The staff were friendly and helpful on asking questions. I would not say here again for a long period. Good for a...
