anan vietnamese bistrot — Restaurant in Vienna

Apparently it is actually possible to create appalling Vietnamese food....it's a first in my (wide) experience. No taste at all to any of the dishes... The minuscule "papaya" salad....basically some grated carrot on a withered lettuce leaf...and a very few exhausted herbs. Spring rolls with unseasoned filling including some unripe avocado. Fried spring rolls with a strange indescribable mushy substance inside...even an Asian stall at a station does better. All sauces totally lacking taste. A tofu curry with carrots and potato...as banal as could be. Prices exorbitant considering the quality and poor experience... they must be joking :-( I feel sorry for the waiters...

Dieses Wochenende habe ich die 30er Feier von meinem Freund (Überraschungsparty) mit 20-25 Gästen hier in der Laimgrube gefeiert. Die Besitzerin und das gesamte Personal war mir von Beginn an eine große Stütze bei der Planung des Ablaufs, Getränkeauswahl, Auswahl fürs Buffet und und und. Wer schon mal eine große Feier geplant hat, weiß wie stressig das alles sein kann und wenn man das erste Mal eine Feier plant, ist es schwer abzuschätzen, was man alles braucht, was kommt am besten an, wie hebt man die Stimmung der Gäste usw. Es gibt soviele kleine Dinge auf die man schauen muss als Gastgeber:in, aber ich konnte mich (ich bin eine Perfektionistin) tatsächlich zurücklehnen während der Feier. Die Besitzerin und ihr gesamtes Team hatten von Anfang an ALLES im Griff und nahmen mir die Last von den Schultern. Meine Gäste waren bis zum Ende rundum stets versorgt, glücklich und die Stimmung war ausgelassen. Das Personal hat mehr als 5 Sterne verdient! Es konnte nicht besser laufen. Mein Freund hat seine 30er Feier für immer in Erinnerung - genauso wie die Laimgrube. Ich danke dem gesamten Team für ihr außerordentliches Engagement und mit wie viel Liebe sie alles umgesetzt haben.

Meine Empfehlung: Die KOMPLETTE Dessertkarte bitte mal probieren. Das Küchenpersonal ist eine 20/10 ! Ich habe noch nie so gutes Tiramisu gegessen. Und UNBEDINGT die Laimgrube vormerken für romantische oder ausgelassene Events, private Feiern oder für zwischendurch.

Meine Gäste kommen aus dem Schwärmen gar nicht mehr raus. 🥰 Es wird garantiert bald ein...

The food is absolutely divine. I don't post often but I felt like I should now to express my gratitude for the great food experience I had. The food is super-tasty and the flavours are so well balanced. Everything seems to be homemade so that it tastes like eating at an actual Vietnamese home. The prices are really good for the full meal we've had compared to the other restaurants of the same standing in the area. And the service is very smooth. I could not...
