We went here in connection with the Wiener Restaurantwoche that the local authorities have initiated to help get the economy going again. It has given us the chance to check out places we've never been before - and Arezu was definitely worth a visit. The drawback for me personally is that we were obliged to opt for a menu with three courses, and normally a starter is all I can manage (in this case the starter was hummus with flat-bread - excellent), so by the time I was half-way through the main course (Lammspieß) I was so stuffed I wanted to lie on the floor rather than sit upright. The very sweet and funny server admonished me for not finishing my meal and then suggested he give us a break before bringing the dessert (ice-cream between wafers). Next time (there will definitely be one) we shall not opt for a full menu - at least I shall not. In fact, I might skip the main course and just have the starter and dessert, just like I used to do as a kid!

One of the best Persian restaurants in Vienna and THE BEST for Tahchin I have ever eaten. Tahchin is an upside down rice bowl where the rice is crispy on top and on the sides once flipped out of the cooking pot. There are three options for what's inside the rice "dome" - lamb, chicken or a combination of plums and eggplant which is my wife's favorite. Sept 2022: We have been back several times but always like going on Fridays for the tahchin. It's amazing and covered in barberries and pistachios. We also had an order of the kebab koobideh (ground lamb and beef) which was outstanding. The service was tremendous with Farshid really going above and beyond to make our lunch fantastic. February 2023. Another excellent meal at Arezu. Had the new Kebab Digi and my wife the Fesenjoon.

We enjoyed our delicious persian food with good quality. Waitress was nice and friendly. BUT there are some negative points that I should mention them: 1- They charged us 4€ for 2 small pieces of bread(not fresh backed) beside our starter without informing us either in menu or asking personally. 2- We asked for packing rest of our meal and they changed us 2€ for each pack, again without informing us and we noticed it in the recipe!!!!!! 3- Air condition didn't work and It was too warm inside. I couldn't even breath easily that's why we couldn't eat our meal. I recommend you to sit outside even in rainy weather. 4- It's a pricey restaurant. We paid 120€ for (2 startes+4 main courses + 2small &2 big beer) All in all, I like the main course itself.

A disappointment although a beautiful ambient. Arezu is a new style Iranian restaurant in 8 district Vienna. The place looks very inviting and modern. I went there for lunch, and as always in a new place, I went for, on the daily menu, a classic recipe, Kubideh. Entering the restaurant after 13 O'clock gives you in Vienna a better option to enjoy the place and not having the staff stressed out with many busy tables. Unknowingly, I met the proprietor of the restaurant by my arrival, a young and handsome Iranian. As I was pointed to a table to sit, I found the table dirty and went back to the propritor to ask for another table. He sat me down on a table that was not cleaned, and didn't really bother changing the cloth, nor taking the coffee cup from the prior guest. I ordered right away as I knew what I would try in the place. Altogether, there are a lot of room for improvement by service. The taste of the food is decent yet the Kebab was not to the taste I am used by persian cuisine. In any case, as an Iranian, I wish them success, and hope they use this critique to...
