We went to the cafe based upon the excellent rating found on the internet. We were very VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! The breakfast âclassicâ with bagel, cream cheese and jam costs about âŹ7. Obviously over priced given that the bagel was ok, cream cheese was âwateryâ. I would take it as a regular white cheese than a real cream cheese. I am from both NY city and Paris, so I do know bagel and (cream) cheese very well. This breakfast is not as good as the bagel with cream cheese that I could have get for less than $2 in NYC. My daughter has a 3-egg omelette dish. Pretty average taste, cost âŹ7-8. Over priced.
The less positive notes are:
First day in Vienna and we went to Blueorange for our first breakfast experience. Never been in either the café or the city before. The café was placed a bit out of the tourist area which I find exciting because the resedential austrians often visit those kind of cafés themselves. The place looked old and worn but the staff was friendly and the music balanced. You kind of just enjoy the atmosphere at the place and looking out the windows to the streets bustling with life.We ordered the Omelet bagel with simple and few ingredients and a Mambo Jambo smoothie - best bagel ever! And the smoothie was fresh and delicious. The café was primarily occupied by resedents to Vienna who either worked or studied with no effect as to being loud or anything. The staff was kind enough to guided us through the ways to order and pay because, you know, tourist .... Next time I'm in Vienna I'll...
Read moreHere at the Blueorange you can enjoy the French and Bohemian life the best. They offer breakfast also in the afternoon and in a nice ambience. The cafĂ© is located close to Viennaâs city center, in the inner 4th district, with a little patio on the street as well. If you come at the right time of the day you also catch some sun. The folks who come here are young and trendy and know how to have a good time. But you also can sit on one of the tables and enjoy reading some newspapers. This cafĂ© provides good quality for reasonable prices and a young and fresh ambience. The Blueorange is one of my favorite cafĂ©s in Vienna.
The staff is friendly and swift and the interior is nice to sit. The café also provides free WiFi and an atmosphere to work as well as to relax and to have a good time. The bagel, sandwiches and cakes are delicious and the coffee is creamy.
