If you want customers (tourists) without reservation to wait outside to be seated then place the board stating the same visible to people entering from both sides of the street, rather than proceed to scream in front of everyone in the restaurant to go stand outside like as if we are a bunch of unwanted humans.
Its the year 2025 and people do not still know how to behave. This behavior was by an older person in the restaurant who i assume is the owner.
Would you have screamed if we were Europeans? Of course not! Because i noticed that you didn’t scream at the couple who entered just like we did into the restaurant. No, race matters to you does it not?
It was only because we were tired from our long travel and also the nice treatment by 2 of the wait staff which made us stay back to have food. Oh and payment is possible only by cash and yes of course the food was amazing but the whole inhumane treatment marred the whole experience for me.
And yes they do not take food orders immediately so that “kitchen does not get overwhelmed”. And then proceeds to bring a wrong order to our table and asks if we are sure if that is not what we ordered. Yes of course we are!! Who does not remember what they ordered? And do not think i didn’t notice you (a taller waitress, who brought us the wrong order and had no other interaction with us at all) checking with the waitress who was handling us the whole time if we REALLY paid. Why? Because you think foreigners do not have money?
First of all why be in the hospitality business if you do not know how to be hospitable. Second of all, if you cannot handle a large influx of customers why not just bring down the number of tables? Rather than make...
Read moreAmidst all that chaos and loud noisy brunch at Mani , they still stand out for me for its quality , flavours , fresh food and always taking care of my allergies . It’s rare in Vienna and I have only appreciation for mani. No matter how crowded , they never got me a wrong order of what I had requested and that makes me happy every time. The service is friendly and even if just only cash and it gets screamy loud with people, it’s fine because the place is worth it and I love coming back . Reservations are a must . They have the best sourdough , best avocado toast (they always get me extra hollandaise when I request it ), best tapas (especially the smoked melanzani )for that hot zataar lavash bread and sour dough they serve . Shakshouka is also great .Amazing coffee , I gulp legit three lattes whenever I am here . The green detox drink is too good. Also the best best pancakes in Vienna . The perfect ones that make your day . Kudos to the chef for this alone. Yes the crowd and the lines in the toilet gets a bit too much but like I mentioned , it gets crowded for all the...
Read moreCame here with my friends for breakfast before a little sight seeing in the city. We arrived at about 12:15 and made our order, the food didn't come even after an hour, the waiters didn't even bother to check in, and left us outside, freezing, we had to request seating inside before they moved us.
The pancakes were average, the hot chocolate was milky, overall meal experience wasn't great, probably because our order took too long. Although, the staff offered free drinks which is a plus to their customer service.
I specifically asked for no onions in my meal and because they probably forgot my order, my potatoes came with onions. It could have been a disaster, but I caught on before I ate the food.
I would probably give them a second chance but my first experience wasn't great.
PS: They only take cash, even though it doesn't say so clearly. PPS: Don't eat here if you're...
