Café Savoy is hands down the best LGBTQ+ spots in the city. It has some of the best espresso in town, an amazing chicken or veal schnitzel (big portion), my favorite pumpkin cream soup - and overall a phenomenal menu with everything made fresh and a menu that changes its specials every two weeks. The apple strudel is made in house and is delicious. But the heart and soul of this place is the staff - they are my favorite part of coming to visit as they recognize their regulars and truly make you feel at home. I don’t know everyone’s name but they make this place what it is, which is truly special. Nina is one of our favorite waitresses and will give you hugs and many kisses when she recognizes you. You can come here for the good food and good espresso, but you stay for the family vibes. It doesn’t matter if you’re gay, straight, black or white - everyone is truly welcome. You hear every language and see all walks of life as we all people watch and enjoy the sunset. i have eaten here for breakfast, lunch and dinner and i never once been disappointed. whenever I bring friends, it’s a spot we continuously go back to. Café Savoy is a place that truly defines Vienna and shows you that even though Austrians can be grumpy, it is the friendliest city in the world - all you need to show is a little bit of time love and appreciation and everyone warms up to show you how much they care. If you’re thinking about visiting, make sure you stop in - it will be worth it I promise. And to Nina - we...
Read moreWe came for brunch on a Saturday and we got a table right away. We chose this place as our only cafe experience in Vienna. We were looking for somewhere affordable and with good service (since we had heard so many horror stories regarding pricey and mean cafe's). This place was perfect.
We ordered the Iced Viennese cafe (6,40), savoy burger (5,30), lachsfruhstuck (marinated salmon with toast and horseradish) (8,60), Einspanner (4,20) and apple strudel.
Everything was good and well priced. The marined salmon in particular was our favourite. It came with toast and went so well with the horseradish. The Einspanner may just look like whipped cream but it tasted so good. Very sinful. But good. The burger was also the perfect breakfast item. We ended with the apple strudel. The server recommended we get it with the sauce and we did. The apple strudel itself isn't very sweet so if you want something sweeter you should definitely get it with the sauce. If you prefer it not as sweet, don't get it with the sauce.
The service was super nice and fast. They answered all our questions and were patient with us. The interior was also really beautiful.
I would definitely recommend this place for the food and...

Food is good reasonably priced fri the classic red book menu.Place gets busy at various times of the day inside showcases its Art deco glory outside you have two terraces available. The big things here are table reservations and payment of bills for food or drinks .All of which are not often made clear . Worth a visit though if your in town you can also have a version the Chocolate cake here which is the...
