We ordered Dim Sum and two main dishes. The dim sum were totally fine, but as the main dishes were served, we recognized that the all of the vegetables were frozen vegetables instead of fresh ones, which is pretty cheeky considering the price of 16€ for that dish. It also didn't taste well, so we decided to send the dish back, which is according to the austrian law absolutley possible. After we complained politley to the waitress, she sent us her boss, who agressivley told us in broken german, that it is not possible to send back the food and that we should have told her in advance that we don't want to eat frozen vegetables. After discussion we insisted on returning the dish. They didn't apologized nor offered us the menu and treated us very bad. This is not acceptable for a restaurant which's main purpose is to make customers feel well. We weren't arrogant nor sassy in any way but still we got treated very bad there. I cannot recommend the food -except the dim sum- there. Personel is also very unfriendly. I myself worked in several restaurants as a waiter, including a chinese restaurant nearby, and if a customer wants to return food, the restaurant has to apologize and accept it and don't start a discussion or a teaching lesson on how to order food. Sorry but therefor I absolutley cannot recommend this place. The other chinese restaurants in that area are all...
Read moreI had eaten at this restaurant a few years back when craving dim sum & went back recently. After eating, I remembered why I only went there once during my time in Vienna then. The food is pretty ordinary. It's ok if you are craving it and want to have some taste of dim sum--would consider the food very average.
This time, I thought to share my feedback with the waitress about one of the dim sum fish dumplings being salty and not very good (it wasn't actual fish but fake mush...even fake stuff I can tolerate but it was salty & not good). The waitress showed no reaction & I mentioned that to her. She brought her manager over who tried to explain to me there's nothing that can be done about it. That if it were a stir-fry, something could be done about it.
What I was seeking is some level of acknowledgement of thank you for letting us know your feedback, but all the manager could say was that & that no one else had ever given them that feedback before.
I don't recommend going to this place. Go to Hao Han for more decent food & better service. Or go to the dumpling shop down the street Wang Noodles for homestyle dumplings and...
Read moreWe used to come here regularly before corona. It used to be a place with delicious Peking Duck & Dim Sum. We just visited again (10.2021) and were shocked how seemingly everything has changed in nearly 2 years.
1 out of 7 different dumplings was good. The rest was either bland or not good. What shocked us were the soups. The “pikant säuerliche Suppe“ was basically tasteless and the „wan tan Suppe“ tasted kinda fishy in a way every chef tells you that fresh fish is not supposed to taste or smell. I made the mistake to eat a piece of Surimi out of that soup and it tasted like bad fish. I was just shocked and luckily I have a strong stomach.
Not a...
