AVOID IF YOU ARE HUNGRY! Total chaos. The orders are not taken as per arrival. The food is served with different timing. My mate food came without side dish. By the time the side dish arrived the meat got cold. My food still nowhere...After 1 hour and 10 minutes waiting I asked where my food is. The kitchen staff wasnt even aware of my order. So I stood up and left this bloody madhouse behind and ended up in the nearest McDonald's because we already starved waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes. Absolute shame. I paid my drinks but this place didnt even worth a penny. Wasted my time and i was not compensated. Not even an apology...SHAME ON THIS ALL. WOULD RECOMMEND EVERYOME TO AVOID THIS PLACE. IT IS FAR BELOW THE MINIMUM EXCEPTABLE...
Read more😡읜죵촤뵬😡I went there with 3 other friends yesterday, had to wait for more than 40 mins after ordering, and the staff said “You need to wait in Austria” but all the other people near us got their foods even if they arrived there later than us.
Since I am living in France, I knew all “general” etiquettes in restaurants in Europe and didn’t do any rude behavior. If the foods are way too late you can ask them if there’s any problem and it’s not a rude thing.
We ordered some beverages and foods. At the moment we arrived the restaurant was not that crowded. The server gave us drinks and breads right after ordering, so we just said thank you and waited.
But after 30 mins, we had not received anything. But we saw so many “white” people who came later than us already started eating. So I started worrying about if there was any problem or not. After 5 mins more, I decided to ask them. I went to the counter (since more people arrived and the server was way too busy) and asked them if there was any problem. I started with “I know I have to wait~” and kept polite tone. The guy at the counter said they were too busy, and asked me what we ordered. He pointed their kitchen and said some of our foods were over there. So I said okay and tried to go back, but he added “but in Austria you need to wait” like a “teacher” and I am sure it was just because we are Asian. Not all Asian people come to Europe as travelers, like you Turkish people live in Europe. I couldn’t enjoy foods at all. If you are asian, you might be able to “learn” the table manner in “austria” from the owner unlike other “white” people.
I only wrote what I had experienced. 2 stars are just to avoid...
Read moreArriving from Salzburg and famished, headed to Naschmarkt for dinner after quick checkin. Place was full of diners but serendipitously found a table for 2 at Papas, a joint offering family recipe mediterranean cuisine for the last 30+ yrs. Started with baba ganoush and muhamarra-a turkish spicy walnut pomegranate dip-with pita bread. Main was Antiochtischer-plate of dips, veggies, couscous and Austrian Beef Goulash with Semmelbrod or bread pudding. Food portion was generous, tasty and filling. Service was quick and friendly. Outdoor dining setting was intimate, not crowded and less noisy. Tip-Papas is towards the end of the Naschmarkt strip and a bit away from the crowded, noisy dining stands...
