The location is nice and the food was ok, but the service was incredibly poor. We ordered 2 hamburgers, which is no complicated food, and had to wait over 50 minutes. At first we thought maybe this is normal for Vienna standards and if there was a problem someone would eventually come to inform us why it is taking so long. But since absolutely no one came to our table and we were getting annoyed after waiting 30 minutes, we decided to take action and ask.
After many attempts, a waiter finally came to us and said that there was a technical issue and our order wasn’t registered. Seriously? We sat there for half an hour and no one had wondered why we still had no food on our table? But anyways, as it was hot outside and we didn’t want to walk and find another restaurant, we decided to give it another chance and wait. It then took another 20 minutes till the food finally came, so we ended up waiting about 50 minutes for 2 overpriced hamburgers, which tasted ok, but nothing special.
The little technical issue didn’t brother us so much, people make mistakes and that’s normal. What really was unacceptable was how the staff dealt with the problem. No one apologized not even once for the delay nor seemed to be bothered by the fact that the clients are unhappy with their service. One of the waiters even tried to justify the incident by saying “food simply takes a while to prepare”. But strangely enough, other guests, who had arrived later than us, received their food earlier than us! (also hamburger) Besides that, we all know the reason why the food came so late. Rather than lie, it would be nice if the staff would simply apologize and recognize that they made a mistake. But it instead of that, they simply ignored the fact that we were forgotten and had to wait 50 minutes for our food, which we were paying for.
Let’s also not forget the fact they don’t even control if people have a vaccination certificate or not. Apparently, neither the health nor the satisfaction of the clients seems to matter for them. Very disrespectful. We are never eating...
Read moreWe (famimly of 4; 2 adults, 2 toddlers) stopped for a bite to eat during a recent trip to Vienna. A server came to us and asked if we wanted to eat and we said yes. He left us with 2 menus. Beer was on a separate menu, so after several minutes waiting I went up and asked for a beer menu. We selected 2 beers, ordered them, and then received them somewhat quickly. This is where our service ended. Despite the fact that we had said initially we wanted to order food, our server actively ignored us for the next 20 minutes while cleaning tables and providing attentive service to business customers. Eventually, a coworker came over and asked if we wanted to order, but our beers were practically gone so we just paid for our beers and left. It's possible you might receive good service here if you're on a break from work, but it was clear to us that we...
Read moreWe ate here on Friday 12 July 2024. Fed up with the typical restaurants where you always get the same thing, we found and booked a reservation in this beautiful restaurant, very nice atmosphere, with a terrace, in an office area, a little further from the centre, totally accessible for reduced mobility and where they have a great menu for every day of the week (except weekends), homemade and tasty food. They served one of us rice Milanese with fish and a good mushroom soup, and the other, a coeliac, a delicious salmon with grilled vegetables and vegetable soup. It also included a delicious homemade dessert. The friendliness and professionalism was great. A lot of sympathy. It is close to Belvedere (upper Belbedere) and next to tram stops 1 and D. Very...
