Just as you come out of Lower Belvedere this tiny of all places offers a very friendly and family atmosphere. Coffee was great and the ONLY place Sacher torte tasted very nice. Ate sacher torte in 4 different places including the Sacher hotel (origin of the Sacher torte in the history of the cake), in every place visited and tastied the cake was a huge disappointmentbut Coffee & Friends just changed our mind about the cake itself. Hope the ace does extremely well, one to visit after a Belvedere Gallery err sorry Palace visit.....If only Prince Metternich was alive to verify...
Read moreSmall but kind cafe in the center of Vienna in the eight district called Josefstadt. You can take a 10 minute walk from the famous Parlament building. They normally offer only Arabica blends there. For me as a Robusta fan not so amazing. The arabica blend was nice though. I had a double espresso and the dominant flavors were dark bitter chocolate and cherry. Quite delicious. The service was friendly and the lady gave me more information about the roasted coffee beans they offer in the cafe. So you can take some packages with you if you want of the blends. All in all...
Read moreCoffee was okay, but the "Apfelstrudel" was cold and seemed like it could have been bought frozen. There was no vanilla sauce, cream or ice cream. They also forgot the coffee in a friend's drink. But they apologized and gave an espresso for free. Furthermore it is really uncomfortable to sit inside (high chairs and tables). Also annoyed that a friend of the staff (or maybe another staff) made fun of us not giving a tip (not for that food!) knowing we would understand everything.
