LA BOTTEGA DEL GUSTO — Restaurant in Vienna

In 30 days of travel through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland this was our worst meal, by far. Both of our glasses of wine (2 different) were well on their way to spoiling. Both of our servings of ravioli (2 different) were way undercooked, so they were hard around the edges (my wife even said one bite of hers was crunchy). We didn’t finish any of these, very unusual for me but I seriously felt they might make us ill. I don’t know what’s happened to the cook in the other favorable reviews but he/she sure wasn’t there this day. On the other hand, we should have paid more attention to the fact there was almost no one in the place when so many others nearby were packed....

Gäbe es 6 Sterne, ..ohne zu zögern. Seit über 10 Jahren gleichbleibend hohe Qualität..! Keine Höhenflüge und dann Abstürze wie man es oft erlebt.. die Familie ist eine Institution der Qualität und des perfekten Gastgebertums in dieser, für Wiener und Nicht Wiener, heiligen Gasse aus Ständen und "gewurl" .. Ravioli, Tagliatelle, Spaghettini und vielerlei Pretiosen der Teigwaren. Trüffelsalami, Oliven, Käse, Weine von seltener Qualität.. aber was bei weitem darüber hinaus geht ist diese natürliche Herzlichkeit dieser unglaublichen Familie.. Heute Trüffel Ravioli wieder einmal gegessen.. ich war selbst fast 30 jahre beruflichen in 4 Hauben unterwegs aber wenn's mir beim Essen die Ganslhaut aufm Arm aufzieht dann sollte eigentlich jeder wissen was auf dem Teller gespielt wird.. und Alles zu Preisen die weit unter dem finanziellen Restaurant Stigmata liegt.. und Mal ganz ehrlich.. oben hat sich jemand über den Preis von 20€ für Essen mit Wein etc aufgeregt.. Vielleicht ist dieser Herr in niedrigeren Qualitätsstandards besser aufgehoben.. handgemachte Nudeln etc sind nunmal wahnsinnig arbeitsaufwendig .. und eine 300% Steigerung der Energiepreise schluckt niemand einfach so. Für mich ist es einfach ein Genuss so wie er ist.. und das war nie anders.. Avec l'amitie culinaire liebe Freunde...
