KFC — Restaurant in Vienna

Is this a joke? I had a craving for fried chicken so i went to the birthplace of it. Now, my attempt to order ahead failed - site wants you to register. Ok, fine, no biggie - it's not far away from me so I'll just walk (delivery was 7 💶 - almost half of the meal, so no thanks). As soon as I entered i was welcomed with a beautiful sight of 8 pre-order food terminals out of order. Yup, all of them. Ok, fine, waiting in line... 5 minutes - wasn't that bad - i placed my order and when I was asked do I want a bag i said "yes please". What else i was gonna do with a bucket full of chicken, on a rainy evening? Picking up my bucket, and same lady that asked me 2 minutes before about my bag preference is handing me the bucket... And she made sure that my chicken is properly squeezed inside... So I said and the bag please. She looks at the bill, the same one she printed out just moments ago saying no bag here. I kindly reminded her i said with the bag - but no, she was just looking at the receipt saying no bag here. Fine, can I have the bag please? Yes, it's 30 cents. Seriously? All this nonsense for 30 cents? Have her the bloody money and just left... And now for the best part - the chicken i got was too dry, like it was sitting in the heater for few hours... Maybe other KFC shops are different - but I don't think i will try any of them in the...

After visiting the United States twice without eating at KFC, I had to catch up on that when I noticed that I was close to KFC Mariahilferstraße.

To be honest I was excited to try them, but this was probably the last time I visit KFC (or at least THIS franchise partner).

1. it was extremely hot in there, so their air conditioning is not really doing much. That might be the reason for the rather grumpy employees, even though the place was not crowded at all when I was there.

2. the food was ... unexpectedly ... "old" ? The burger bun was stale and dried out and pretty sure was prepared quite some time ago. The chicken stripes were dry while their breading was soaked and not crispy at all. So it really tasted overdue in terms of fast food preparation time.

3. the toilets were disgusting. Both pissoirs were defective and taped with black trash bags, the only working toilet was dirty and probably not cleaned the a couple of hours (or cleaned on that day at all), had a really bad smell and was out of toilet paper.

You could notice the smell on the first floor, standing at the stairs that lead up to the toilets on the 2nd floor.

I will not consider visiting this place again any time soon.

This place was the WORST kfc restaurant that I have ever tryed, because of various reasons.The first one is that just because you are foreign and you don't speak german at the counter you will find a rude pakistan guy that teases you with his collegues , even if you try to order in english, which, I mean , usually german and austrian people know quite as a mother language.Then I mean, this restaurant is located onto a big Vienna commercial street, so clerks and waiters should be prepared for foreign people coming there. The second thing that absolutely didn't work is that some of the things me and my family ordered were missing, and the ones that we got, were set in a really bad way into the box. Third thing it's that the food was COLD and wasn't really good. So if you want to eat at KFC in Vienna don't come in this one, just try the other two restaurants...
