Food is good but unfortunately also with scorching heat of 35 degrees today we asked multiple times but the staff won’t allow our dog to come in to the Air Conditioner. Be aware that you also cannot order food when you are on the road with your dog or pet as it is self service and you cannot enter the premises. Very unusual for Vienna! Also - although advertised credit cards are currently not accepted!
Editing the review based on your comments below (strangely I cannot directly reply to you). Of course it is your decision if you allow dogs or not in the restaurant. I am pointing this out to fellow pet owners so that they are aware, as contrary to your reply almost all restaurants on Landstrasse allow dogs currently. The reason of the open kitchen is not correct, as this does not hinder you to allow animals within your premises (animals are themself not allowed IN the kitchen or behind the counter as per the current regulations). In any case if you allow pets or not, is your decision only and of course your right to do so. Why I called it out, is, that if you are coming to your restaurant with a pet, you are not able to order at all. The ordering is inside, the payment is inside and there is no place you can leave your pet during that process. Hence, if you are by yourself with a pet or a dog, ordering is impossible and important knowledge for...
Read moreI have been to the restaurant three times in total, I am Greek, so I can say whether the food can be considered Greek or not. first of all, two of the three times we got two souvlaki, a portion of potatoes, 1 coke and a soda, we waited over a quarter to eat because they gave priority to mjam's deliveries, not caring about the customers in the physical store. Our table was not cleared, only after I asked for it. The food is very expensive for what it offers, the gyros was dry and full of fat, the tzatziki was almost pure yogurt, the tomatoes unripe... And the three times I asked if there were any Greeks here, they told me no. Well, the chef, who is Greek, is a remote chef... obviously the owner is not in the store at all to check the image that goes out. So advice. If you are a self-respecting Greek, you don't eat there. Better buy from a Greek supermarket and make a souvlaki at home. I don’t recommend this...
Read moreWe went to grab gyros and salad. Salad wasn’t fresh,(cucumber wasn’t properly peeled) - as if it was from the day before. Souvlaki was cold. One of us also ordered a glass of white wine. It was really stinky as if it was poured from rotten barrel. We asked the waiter to change. He tried to convince us that this is what retsina supposed to taste like..you don’t have to be an expert to know what is not drinkable. We disagreed because we lived in Greece for 20 years and slightly know better than a restaurant ran by non Greeks. Not a single person spoke...
