Max & Benito — Restaurant in Vienna

While I was waiting in line, I witnessed a staff member treating a group of tourists quite rudely because they didn’t speak German. Instead of assisting them kindly, she repeatedly insisted that they speak German, which created a very uncomfortable atmosphere.

As an Asian person who does speak fluent German, I was surprised that when it came to me, the same staff member immediately switched to English – without asking. This made me feel very uncomfortable, as it seemed like she assumed I couldn’t speak German based solely on my appearance. It left me wondering whether she assumes all Asian people speak English, which is an unfair and inappropriate assumption.

Additionally, while my work colleague waiting to be served, she ignored her and took the order of someone who arrived after her. This, combined with her earlier behavior, made the experience feel discriminatory and disrespectful.

I hope you take this feedback seriously. Everyone deserves to be treated equally and respectfully, regardless of where they come from or what language they speak. I will not be returning, but I hope changes can be made for...

Burrito was good again, but the prices, especially the extra prices for some additional ingredients are by no means justified. To charge almost 1€ (0,90€) for a bit of guacamole? How does this lift up the burritos value by 1€? I can buy a bottle of actually good guacamole at Billa by not much more. They also do charge 1€ more for the burritos and tacos in comparison to last time...hm naja. To charge 3,30€ for a Fritz Cola is also over the top. This place makes not bad burritos, but thinks it is in another league. But yeah it's especially that exaggerated extra pay of basically 1€ for some guacamole that doesn't male them sympathetic.

The Tacos they prepared for my gf weren't well made and immedeatly fell apart.

Old Review: They ran out of beans, and weren't keen to give me some guacamole instead of the missing beans without an additional cost. They do charge guacamole which is fine, but when runing out of a major ingredient which I pay for they could at least give me some guacamole....

Found it surprising that this is a cash only place, so be sure you have cash before you wait in the often long lines during lunchtime. This restaurant is very similar to Chipotle in almost every way, but I found the food to be much more flavorful here. The lines were long, but they moved fast. You can create your own meal, bowl, burrito, etc and select all the ingredients you want. Some are extra, others are included. I had a chicken bowl and found it to be quite good, although a little salty. Seating is very limited here on the first level, with additional seating upstairs. You might have to wait a little while for a table to open up. Overall I liked the place, it was fast and efficient and kept clean. This location has clean toilets but not particularly accessible or accommodating for those with mobility impairments...
