Nordindisches Restaurant "Guru" — Restaurant in Vienna

I went in for lunch at opening time. The menu was very short (only two main entrees were available). There was a complementary soup which was good. I had the mango lassi which tasted good but was a bit too watery for me. The butter chicken dish and the naan was good though nothing to rave about. I am surprised to see so many comments about this being the best Indian restaurant in the city; perhaps I just went at a bad time and it's better in the evening with more menu options... I do have to say the price was very reasonable given all I got in my meal. I won't go there again but it was nice to at least check them out.

Replying to the restaurant: I am only stating what I saw the day I went to your restaurant. I was clearly told only two main dishes were available and was not proposed any "a la carte" option (the only menu I was given is shown on the first pic). Either way, I gave my review based on the food...

Worse restaurant ever. Owner is so racist, I asked what was an extra charge since it was in German and he said “Indians complain about it”. We were not complaining simply asking. Owner started complaining about paying for his napkins instead of nicely explaining. Other family that came after us were giving complementary starting dish after they were sat down, we got it 20 minutes later. Food was awful, watery and flavorless. Tea was so bad, wasn’t even strained. Three pieces of Paneer Tikka for 7 Euros is overpriced. Bathrooms are gross and not cleaned. Owner and server was just an awful person, racist towards Indians for no reason. I said you can not just say Indians complain to us because we are Indian. Maybe use a notepad and write down what customers ask for and give real napkins instead of paper napkin, this is a sit down restaurant. Note: Music is...

We had a very very bad experience, since the food was very pathetic, we were giving feedback to the owner and immediately owner started shouting at us starting "Eat 😡 Pay & Go" and left from our table. We said to the server that we will pay the bill only after talking again with the owner he wasn't ready to talk to us and said if you don't pay will call the Police, infact we also wanted the police to come so that we can complaint on the food quality and the rude behaviour of his.
