Its back!! Albeit with a fresh new concept - great! Went in for lunch with kids, over the weekend. Place was busy and buzzing - always a good sign! Didn't have reservation and we were quite a big group; staff was friendly and accommodating to shift some tables around to fit us. The menu is very generous, plenty to choose from. I was especially happy to see some classics from the "old" Sopherl on the menu. The breakfast menu is also plentiful. We had the schnitzel, risotto, shakshuka, ham & cheese sandwich and the Stadtbrau beer on tap. I had the ham & cheese sandwich was pleasantly surprised by the size (as the price seems a bit steep for a sandwich, but hey, in this economy, eating out isn't what it used to be!). It was very filling; the ham was wonderfully cured and the bread nice and crispy. The schnitzel was great too: crispy crust and the potatoes on the side were silky and creamy, not the usual dry stuff you tend to get.
