Vulcania Bar — Restaurant in Vienna

7/16 after 10pm. Drinks were great, and atmosphere was awesome, and server was best we have had in Vienna! Wanted to try Philosph but service was too good to leave. Tipped 25%.

7/17 around 9:00pm Came the next night after dinner for a relaxed time around 9pm. Server challenged the fact that we were here the previous night demanding cash payment immediately because I did not remember the wheat beer I had last night, “saying there is only 2 on menu”when Schneider Weisee and Hacker Pschorr are both on menu. Then proceeded to do shots with friends in front of us. Entire outdoor guests left immediately due to rude bartender. Tipped 0%.

Demeanor completely changed when boss/owner appeared to show up. Bar is great value, but feel out the bartender before you enjoy. So sad a place this awesome doesn’t know their bartender is running off customers to party with...

Bartender tried to make us pay more, both times we went there (we returned only because other bars were full). First time I was asked to round up the bill and the rounded amount was already put in the terminal, before I managed to answer. Second time, he just bluntly gave us a higher price, and only changed it after we corrected him. I'm talking about small amounts, about 1€, but I felt we were treated like idiots, especially the 2nd time. For a young person traveling on a budget, it's frustrating. Don‘t like to write reviews about the workers but behavours need to change sometimes… Ordering a Radler but getting a warm Wieselburger is normally not the biggest problem. Said just nevermind, it happens. But looking for a service, guy is sitting/smoking outside with his friends all the time. If you are lucky, he looks around and you get a service.
