Gemma Vienna City Market — Local services in Vienna

Nice idea and pleasant atmosphere, but unfortunately the feeling of being deceived overshadows everything. On the board outside it says painting 5€, and below that Aperol, Hugo etc., which clearly suggests that the drinks also cost 5 €. In reality, they are almost 2 € more expensive. This seems like a deliberate trick to attract passers-by.

On top of that, the Aperol Spritz is not freshly prepared – it’s poured from a bottle that looks identical to the cheap ready-made spritz you can buy at Billa or Spar. When I asked why it isn’t mixed fresh, I was told they prepare everything already in the morning. Of course, by the evening the prosecco (if there even was any) has lost all its bubbles. The taste is simply terrible.

Because of all this, I can’t give more than 1 star.

Schöne Idee und nettes Ambiente, aber leider überwiegt das Gefühl, getäuscht zu werden. Auf der Tafel vor dem Eingang steht Painting 5€, darunter Aperol, Hugo usw., was eindeutig suggeriert, dass auch die Drinks 5 € kosten. In Wirklichkeit sind sie fast 2 € teurer. Das wirkt wie ein absichtlicher Trick, um vorbeigehende Leute anzulocken.

Außerdem wird der Aperol Spritz nicht frisch zubereitet, sondern aus einer Flasche ausgeschenkt, die genauso aussieht wie die billigen Fertig-Spritz, die man bei Billa oder Spar kaufen kann. Auf meine Nachfrage hieß es, dass alles schon morgens vorgemischt wird. Natürlich ist der Sekt am Abend (falls überhaupt vorhanden) völlig ohne Kohlensäure. Geschmacklich eine Katastrophe.

Deshalb gibt es von mir leider nicht mehr...

Very cozy hotspot in the centre of Vienna with super friendly staff and great food and drinks. And they have a small exhibition featuring Austrian brands selling art, jewelry etc. Perfect for picking up a souvenir from a local brand! 😍...
