Best Place Baku Restaurant & Jazz Club — Restaurant in Baku City

I experienced what can only be described as the worst scam of my entire life. It felt like outright robbery.

I happened to visit this place at the invitation of my friend to listen to some live music. Based on his previous three encounters, he told me that for a small additional fee, we would be able to listen to live jazz music.

However, upon our arrival, it became clear that the rules had now changed, and we could only get tickets online. Taking advantage of our ignorance, the man in the reception tricked us into buying the tickets for the whole table for four. And then he removed the other two chairs for “convenience”. The place was already very cramped and packed with many tables. We only ordered two mojitos hoping to enjoy the rest of the evening with live music.

And when the time came for the bill, only then were we informed about the prerequisites for 20 AZN per person. They charged us for four people, including the additional 10% service fee, and we ended up paying 88 AZN (52 USD) for two mojitos. It cost us a total of 116 AZN (68 USD) to listen to some live music.

After this kind of masquerade and a complete lack of customer service, I surely will not be coming back.

Thank you for your feedback. However, your staff members knew it was my first time (clearly after this incident and the last time) in that place. They could have been more helpful and cared to explain the new rules. The result is that I had the worst experience of any fine dining establishment in my entire life. Ironically, for me, it has been the worst place in Baku.

The atmosphere and design is great but unfortunately the service is horrible. I ordered a bruscetta and it came super late+ I found a human hair in it/under the cheese layer. It was not pleasant but I just put it aside not making a drama out of it. It can happen I said and called the waiter to put the plate away. When I went to the WC, I heard the manager woman (I cannot call that woman a lady) was aruguing with the waiter and discusding the hair issue. I heard that said it was my plate. She didnt even said sorry but put the hair in font of my eyes hanging it, confronted me and said it my hair and they dont have a “blonde haired” chef. I was shocked. The hair was UNDER the melted cheese not on the surface… She was openly denying it, let alone trying to beg for my pardon. The tone was horrible, impudent It was such a disgusting experience and I don’t recommend...

Despite having bought tickets online for 9 AZN for jazz night per person, we were not allowed to stay unless we spent at least 30 AZN each on food and drinks. My friends and I didn't even get the chance to witness the jazz performance as we were led to believe we only had to spend money on the tickets. The information about their 30 AZN deposit didn't specify that a restaurant order was mandatory for the concert. This was overall a disappointing experience that fortunately only lasted 15 minutes...
