My husband and I recently dined at Fish and were absolutely blown away by the food! Delectable is putting it mildly - our taste buds were positively dancing with joy! We split the shrimp cocktail appetizer, which, I have to admit, while tasty, wasn't much different than any other shrimp cocktail we've had before. But the main course? Totally different story! For dinner, I ordered the grouper with a side of asparagus, and my husband ordered the red snapper with their twice baked potato. The grouper I had was meaty and rich, and with its passion fruit brown butter sauce, utterly decadent. The delightful zip of the passion fruit played beautifully with toasted brown butter, leaving an unctuous mouth feel that made me just want to keep eating. The grilled asparagus paired nicely with its romesco sauce, and I appreciated the addition of some toasted almonds on top to give it some extra texture. My husband said his snapper was very good, and would be something that he'd order again. Which, for someone who doesn't like fish, is high praise indeed! But he positively raved about his twice baked potato, with its innards whipped to perfection and topped with what tasted like a sharp white cheddar. For the service itself, our server was attentive and pleasant. We did feel a little rushed when another patron rather loudly requested our table after we'd paid the cheque but were still finishing our drinks, however, I certainly don't hold the restaurant accountable for the rudeness of its guests, and appreciate that they told the patron to wait his turn in the bar. Price-wise, this was on the expensive side, however, I was more than happy to pay the price to get such a wonderful meal. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant, and, further, I would consider returning, too! I'd give this 4.5 stars out of 5 if Google would let me.

What a fabulous dining experience at this upscale seafood restaurant. We started with the bread service and it tasted like a cross between sweet cornbread and a biscuit..It was very unique and very delicious. For appetizers we had to conch fritters and they were phenomenal. When you bite into them, there was a creamy center that melted it in your mouth and the outside was perfectly fried and crisp. The macaroni and cheese with jumbo crab was also very good. The crab cakes were OK not the best I’ve had but they were passable. For dinner entree, my friend had the grouper and it was literally phenomenal. It was super flavorful and cooked to perfection and surrounded by a sauce that had a unique, sweet flavor that I have never had before. If I were to return, the grouper would be a must. We also had the shrimp and grits. The grits were creamy and well seasoned and the shrimp was fresh. They were also an excellent choice. We both had a glass of red wine and white wine and both were delicious. I also had a dirty martini that was good. The only thing I will say that is negative is that our waitress spent a lot of time talking to another table and not so much time speaking to us. I also thought it was odd that she brought me a box to box up my own food because usually at a restaurant at this price point you would expect the waitress to box up the food for you. This is one of the best dining restaurants in Atlantis and I will definitely return. When we come back, I think I want to try the whole fried fish because I seen someone get it and it looked absolutely delicious and beautifully plated like artwork.

During our recent trip to Atlantis, my wife and I eagerly anticipated dining at Fish, a restaurant highly recommended by friends who’ visited. Having traveled extensively and eaten some of the best seafood from a variety of renowned culinary destinations such as Hualien, Singapore, Cape Cod, Barcelona, Thailand, the Florida Keys, Shanghai, Xiamen, Sai Kung and Lau Fau Shan both in Hong Kong, we approached this meal with high expectations. Unfortunately, Fish did not deliver the flavor. Opting for the tasting menu, we hoped to embark on a culinary journey that would highlight the restaurant’s finest offerings from the Bahamas. Regrettably, this decision turned out to be a grave and expensive mistake, resulting in a disappointing and lackluster dining experience. Our server pushed the option which is her job, but it was obviously too much food for 2 people. And we had had that discussion with her and she assured us it was not. From the outset, the seafood croquettes were undercooked, lacking the necessary texture and flavor one would expect from the dish. The grouper, usually a delicate and flavorful fish, was overpowered by an excessive amount of lemon reduction, masking its natural taste. Similarly, the conch salad suffered from a similar fate drowning with the no life preserver in lemon, rendering it nearly inedible. It was an acidic overload. Included was a ribeye steak, which should have been a red flag but I thought my daughter could try it. I normally stay away from meats at a seafood-focused establishment, arrived cold and rare, despite our request for medium-rare. To add to the confusion, the steak was paired with a puree identical to that served with the asparagus, creating a monotonous and uninspired combination. The mushroom side dish was abundant enough for a party of eight, a quantity that seemed both excessive and wasteful. Desserts, which we chose to box and take away instead of eating should have provided a redeeming finale to the meal but we were just too disappointed to really give them their due. One was Key Lime and we were so done with acidic flavors. Our appetites were lost at sea, underwhelming and failed to justify the steep $160 per head price tag. Rather than leaving with our tastebuds invigorated and our culinary curiosity satisfied, we departed feeling profoundly disappointed and financially fleeced. In summary, The dishes lacked balance, finesse, and thoughtful execution, making the overall experience unworthy of the high cost and namesake . As seasoned travelers who have enjoyed exceptional seafood worldwide, this was a stark reminder that even highly recommended establishments with fancy namesakes can fall short. ( sorry I didn’t take photos of all the food to accompany the review)

I was so excited to take my adult family to this celebrated chef's restaurant that I booked it months in advance only to leave completely disappointed. We arrived at our reservation ahead of time only to be asked to sit and wait. Not uncommon to wait for a table to clear but this was over 40 minutes. Another 30 minutes later, I had to flag down a waiter to ask for initial table water service. He said he was not our waiter but would get us water. Under his breath he said he was tired of covering for our waitress and wasn't going to do it any more. She came breezing up about 15 minutes after that and asked if we wanted any beverages other than water. We placed our orders but when those didn't come I went to the bar and ordered separately, delivering them well before she even returned. At our next opportunity when she came back, we ordered appetizers and entrees to get things moving. Another 30 minutes the staff came and cleared our plates in anticipation of the main course. The waitress came back later and said the entrees were coming out and how did we enjoy the appetizers only to embarrassingly realize she never brought them. The food came out and was ok but by this point (and hours in) the evening had been ruined. As could be expected, about half of our group was ready to leave early on but as we were a party of 9 adults it would have been very difficult and late to find another alternative. We kept hoping things would begin to click at this celebrated restaurant but it just never did. Other tables around us with different waiters seemed to be having the same experience. Fortunately, we had incredible meals at Cafe Martinique the night before and Carmines the night after. This just goes to show that you can slap a celebrity chef name on a restaurant and it does not necessarily make it a good place to eat. Again, totally disappointed. FISH you could have been so much better. There appeared to be no manager attending to these details.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at "Fish," a new restaurant that exceeded all my expectations. From start to finish, the culinary journey was nothing short of amazing. The food was incredibly delicious, and every bite left me wanting more. One standout dish was the crab cake, which was simply outstanding. It was not only tasty but also had a rich and satisfying flavor. Another highlight was the fried conch, a recommended Bahamian seafood dish. Being adventurous, I decided to try it, and I was pleasantly surprised. The conch had a similar texture to calamari, one of my favorite seafood plates, and it definitely did not disappoint. For a lighter option, I opted for the tomato soup with shrimp. It turned out to be a wonderful choice. The combination of the flavorful tomato base and the succulent shrimp created a delightful blend of tastes. The restaurant's attention to detail and quality ingredients truly shined through in this dish. To top off the meal, we indulged in a grilled mahi-mahi in a Bahamian sauce. The mahi-mahi was perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor. The accompanying Bahamian sauce elevated the dish to new heights, leaving a lasting impression on my taste buds. Overall, my experience at "Fish" was nothing short of fantastic. The food was delectable, offering a wide range of flavors and textures that showcased the essence of Bahamian cuisine. The restaurant's commitment to quality and authentic flavors was evident in every dish. I left feeling satisfied, inspired, and eager to return. If you're looking for an amazing dining experience, "Fish" is the place to go.

The restaurant is beautiful and the service was great. We made reservations weeks in advance and our table was pretty much ready we arrived. We stayed at the Cove so it was also a very convenient location (right in the lobby). My husband and I dined at Fish at the National Harbor in the DC area years ago before it closed and I feel like the quality of food was better at that location. At this location at the Atlantis, we ordered multiple dishes as pictured and they were all underwhelming. The biscuits, the seafood croquetas, and the mini lobster roll were the shining stars. The corn chowder was too thin and way too sweet. The ceviche classico was way too acidic and the the fish was a little chewy-maybe was marinating too long? The Tuna Nikkei was way too salty with the soy sauce and the flavors did not work well together. Somehow dragonfruit got thrown in there too even though it was not part of that dish (knew something was off but didn’t realize till later when I looked at the menu again). The conch fritter was battered well but more creamy filling than conch. We also did try the grouper which was cooked well but was plated poorly- it had a passion fruit brown butter and a grilled avocado but felt like it needed some acidity. For that price point, I feel like there needs to more effort put forth to made that dish worth it. So overall, I think more effort needs to be done to create better balanced dishes and to plate the food neatly. The service was the shining star at this establishment.
