Dinner is $66 per person. You would expect a larger buffet with a better selection and spread of food. The name Poseidon would make you think seafood too! WRONG! THIS BUFFET IS A WASTE OF MONEY AND A WASTE OF A MEAL. Somebody posted a picture of a sushi tower that was non existent when we went a couple days ago. The sushi looked dried out there were barely any pieces to choose from. I had to ask them to make more sushi. They put out some smoked salmon. My dad said that it was alright. They had grilled salmon, chicken and thin pieces of steak. The steak wasn't bad. My salmon was still raw in the middle, somebody else's was overcooked and dry. There was a taco station, pizza, tandoori chicken I wasn't a fan it didn't have any flavor and was dry. They had a few stews they looked like they were left out forever. But I tried two a regular beef and an Italian beef both were meh. The carving station consisted of Lamb - this was actually good and a small turkey breast. Nobody in my party of six tried the turkey because it looked dry. They had potatoes au gratin nothing great. Sauteed asparagus was good though. But can you really mess that up? The ONLY food made to order was fried rice or lo mein. You scoop your veggies in a bowl hand it to the cook and you were given a choice to have shrimp or pork with rice or noodles. They had one other shrimp dish and shrimp cocktail. Desserts and your typical cold stuff potato salad, conch salad, fruit jello. There were a come soups too cream of mushroom, and ? This is hands down the worst buffet. Sure everything cost more in Atlantis that's fine but for this price there should be no options and better be quality. You can order Chateaubriand for two at the Bahamian Club for $130 and be much more satisfied. Olives has a Bolognese that was also much better tasting! Oh there were three pasta dishes that looked gross. Hard and dry sauce was not appealing. I wish I read this review before we reserved a...
Read moreWe tried Poseidon’s Table for breakfast in the early days of our stay, and the service and food were good and reasonably priced as compared to all other Atlantis restaurants (though we’d definitely recommend Mosaic for breakfast any day - $32 per person, delicious all you can eat buffet with a huge variety of options including stations for omelette, bakery, cereals, fruits, pancakes, waffles etc.). The dinner food here was reasonably tasty, but the speed of service (or lack thereof) was pretty appalling. The portion sizes were decent in general, but on the stingy side given we were paying $60 a person. We arrived at 8:45p and by 10p we had yet to receive one of our appetizers let alone our entrees. The main courses (steak) arrived at 10:07p with the second appetizer, but both steaks were undercooked. We had both asked for medium well done strip steaks and with the first cut, they both bled pink and red. We finally received our cooked entree at 10:13p. To top it off, throughout our dinner stay, 5+ other tables around us asked to speak with a Manager and let it suffice to say none were extending particularly positive feedback. When our server came to apologize at the end of our meal, he shared that after employees were furloughed, many were not asked to return so there was far greater burden on those who went back to work. It’s such a pity because it wasn’t his fault, but he was taking the brunt of peoples’ frustrations all evening long. Our server was courteous and kind and pushed for us only to be charged for one adult’s worth of a meal which we appreciated (and the one star we give this place is solely for him), but the service was otherwise a complete...
Read moreHad an absolutely fabulous experience at this massive buffet. We went for breakfast and it was great! We were greeted with a friendly attitude and seated immediately. By the time you add the automatic gratuity, fees and taxes the cost is about $50 a person. They also have unlimited mimosas available that you can add for $29 per person. They also serve beers and wine if you would like during the breakfast hours. I really loved the omelette station where they make fresh omelettes custom to order. They have every kind of breakfast food that you could imagine from grits, to oatmeal, pork and turkey bacon, multiple types of sausages, and so much more. There is something here for you to eat no matter what your dietary restrictions. There is also a salad station. There is a massive bakery area and you can also get waffles and pancakes made to order. They have an extensive array of charcuterie offerings, which I truly enjoyed and it was very fresh. They have a lot of fresh fruit options, as well as granola, yogurt, and parfait with all the toppings. The carving stations were a true highlight. The roasted turkey and fresh carved ham were the two selections available and both of them tasted divine. They also had a cereal station as well as a bread, bagel and muffin station and even a breakfast pizza station. They even had corned beef hash and chicken souse. The buffet was kept extremely clean and very well stocked. No expense was spared. The service was very friendly and even the coffee that they serve was very good. I highly recommend his restaurant and will...
