Went to the Perch around 11 a m for breakfast. Got seated right away. The kitchen was set up very nicely in the middle of the room. So it was a circular counter w the chefs cooking inside the area. You could watch them cooking and placing the orders under heat lights for server to bring to your table. I ordered a veggie frittata with no cheese. So watch her make it and it was placed under heat lights. I was happy and was looking forward to getting my meal. Well it sat there under the lights for at least 15 minutes. So I finally said to my husband do u see our waitress. She was behind me at the computer . So I asked another server to have my waitress come to our table. We waited another 10 min before she left the computer and came over I said I believe that our order was under the heat lights She said I’ll check. She came back and said no that’s not your order. But then the chef picked up the frittata and put it in the oven. Then another 10 min went by and then she brought me my order. I could tell that it was heated up and was in fact the same frittata. I never said anything because I don’t like to complain because I really appreciate everything that we have in this world and how blessed I am but she lied to me and I did not appreciate it. 🙄😪🌴So much...
Read moreWe ate at Perch for breakfast on our second to last day during our stay at Atlantis.
Would have to say this was the better option when compared to dining at Murray’s Deli (quality of ingredients are better).
My objective feedback for what we ordered:
The Continental: For our boys to share; the yogurt parfait was smaller than expected (about ~5-6oz of yogurt and some pieces of berries). It also comes with a fruit platter, which does NOT include watermelon, however, the ala carte option does. Fresh squeeze orange juice was a nice touch.
Two Eggs Any Style Breakfast potatoes was a medley of sweet potatoes, purple potatoes and russet/white potatoes. It was delicious and definitely an elevated touch. Micro-greens on the plate was unnecessary but I suppose it adds to the feel of the restaurant.
Blueberry Pancakes Diameter was about 5-6inches. 3 pancakes for the order and came with actual maple syrup and not corn syrup.
Overall, would recommend Perch for Breakfast if you’re seeking for a wholesome and quality breakfast;...
Read moreI would give this place a 0 if Google allowed it. I'm not a complainer and I never make a stink but the service here was so bad that I did both. They make your food quickly but then they sit it under heat lamps and talk over it for 20-30 minutes. I watched a cook wipe his face and sit the handkerchief next to food waiting to be taken to tables. I also watched him take eggs from one plate and slide them into another and then add bacon and sausage and a server brought them to our table 10 minutes later. They talk over food, holding trays in their hands and congregating like their in a high school lunchroom. I am angry writing this. I started to leave my husband sitting in the restaurant alone because I was tired of waiting 30 plus minutes for yogurt and fruit. I don't know why they switched this place from a buffet style restaurant. It worked well. As much as staying at the Cove is, they really should have a better breakfast option. I hope they get the place in order. We usually love our meals at...
