JJ's Irish Restaurant — Restaurant in Bahrain Island

Super Disappointed with our recent visit at this place. We decided to visit our once favorite Irish Pub in Bahrain which in JJs invited our Navy friends and clients who are new here in Bahrain to show them coolest places in Bahrain and in our mind JJs was still the one.

We are a group of 10 people and we are still waiting for another 10 who was in McGETTIGANS that time. One friend arrived and the bouncers stopped him and didnt allow him to enter as "bouncers said he was wearing a pajama" friend called us and ask the bouncers to let him in as we have big group inside and he is not wearing pajamas. If you will go inside you will find people are in their shorts and their slippers. We cannot understand why their saying that our friend cannot enter as he was in he shoes and not pajama. Please check the inserted photos you can see your bouncers allowed our friend who is in her shorts and slipper (because she is a lady?) and didnt allow our friend who is in his jugger and shoes. I was surprised as I was just there last week wearing the same and nobody stop me. The bouncers insisted that it was pajama for sleeping not for club. we keep on asking them to come as our group was inside and we just pre ordered our beers and shots and we dont want to give hassle to our group and it was very few people that time less than 25 pax and most are in shorts and slippers.

We ask maybe your Manager will allow him to enter. Manager came and said we cannot accept him as there is a dress code - i told to the Manager that our friend and other people inside are in their shorts and slippers and they allowed him. The Manager still didnt allowed and said "We cannot allow it as we are Irish Pub" we love Irish Pub and we love JJs for being cool and welcoming - Then i told to the Manager that McGETTIGANS in Adliya is also an Irish Pub but they allowed him and welcomed him as their valued guest. I am so dissapointed as a regular guest and i even held many events at JJs please see another photo (one of the event i did).

My friend he will just leave and will go back to Mcgettigans I told to my friend we cannot argue with this Manager sorry for us. Then I went inside two of the bouncers followed me and drag me outside as they said I cannot enter as well as I didnt speak nicely to their Manager. "as far as I am remember I am a guest of JJs and not the guest of Manager" I told to the security that ok but please let me finished my drink as I ordered and not even drink my order. They didnt even listen. I called my friend inside and gave my ATM and paid my bill half of it UNCONSUMED which is 90 BHD so where in the justice here???

I called my group and we all left the place and move to MCGETTIGANS Adlia where we are all welcomed and valued as guest.

We understand dress codes but please DO NOT HAVE DOUBLE, UNFAIR AND INCONSISTENT STANDARD. Please also train your bouncers and Managers about pajama (Please see inserted photo)

Didnt I as a valued guest deserves an explanation for the rude staff? Previous Bouncers and security are more welcoming to guests and even recognized who are regular guests. Why they let us leave when there were very few guest inside? Cant JJs become more competitive? I am saying this because I love JJs and one of my favorite in Bahrain.

I recently visited JJ's Irish Pub in Adliya on Friday, June 23, 2023, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. From the moment I arrived, I encountered several issues that left me feeling frustrated and disrespected.

Upon parking my car in the opposite parking lot, I was approached by the security personnel who demanded a parking fee of BHD. 5.00. I explained that I was only planning to meet my friends for a couple of hours and have a few non-alcoholic drinks. Despite my protest, they insisted on the fee, which immediately set a negative tone for my visit.

Seeking clarification, I approached a lady at the entrance who suggested that I pay the BHD. 5.00 fee and use it towards my order inside. Reluctantly, I agreed and proceeded to enter the pub. However, upon presenting my receipt to the server, I was informed that the BHD. 5.00 discount would only be applicable if my total bill exceeded BHD. 10.00. This discrepancy in information was highly misleading and further added to my frustration.

To resolve the issue, I requested the server to accompany me to the lady at the reception to clarify the situation. To my dismay, it was confirmed by other servers that the discount policy was indeed as stated, with no flexibility. Feeling deceived and unsatisfied, I requested a refund and decided to take my car out of their parking lot to find alternative parking arrangements.

Upon returning to the pub, I was shocked to discover that the management had decided not to allow me inside. When I inquired about the reason behind this unfair decision, I was met with evasiveness and a lack of transparency. Despite my request to speak with the lady at the reception, I was not only denied entry but also treated as if I had committed a crime.

Furthermore, it became evident that the employees were unaware of the promotions and discount policies, leading to confusion and inconsistency in customer service. Additionally, the behavior of the security personnel was inappropriate and resembled that of thugs when customers raised concerns or objections.

Overall, my visit to JJ's Irish Pub was marred by unprofessionalism, miscommunication, and disrespect. I hope that my review serves as a cautionary tale for potential visitors and encourages the establishment to address these issues promptly to improve the overall...
