What a great restaurant.

Just had a lovely meal here tonight and it deserves a full 5 star review.

Pretty unique ordering system where you order your main and you then get a few dishes to accompany it.

Mixed pickles, Indian starters like samosa, poppadoms, salad, raita, chutneys etc.

After your meal you get ice cream, teas, drinks included with your meal can be soft drinks or lassi.

Our waiter Amal explained this prior to ordering and was attentive throughout.

Prices are around the 6 / 7 BD per meal (so starter, main with rice, drink, nan, ice cream, tea) and the portions are big. We ordered two curries and one grill and it was so much food for two people.

Quality of the food was good, service was quick and friendly and the place is very clean.

Upstairs gives you the option to overlook the mall giving you a feeling of being outside.

A great bonus is there is no smell of food - clothes were still as fresh as they were going in.

They have 3 spice levels, I ordered the 'too spicy' and it was fine (not even medium spicy by most standards).

The green tandoori chicken has zero spice.

We both enjoyed our meal and will be going back for sure.

Thank you Amal.

(Do check the menu as there isn't the usual options of an Indian restaurant like various daals etc and bear in mind if you order an extra curry or grill it's a set meal and comes with starter, rice,...

I had high expectations for Sangam Restaurant given its nice ambience, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The atmosphere is pleasant, but the food itself was far from satisfying. The dishes lacked authenticity, and all the items were served in a cramped, hurried manner without any proper pacing. There should be a relaxing interval between courses to allow diners to enjoy their meal, but everything was brought out all at once, making it overwhelming and less enjoyable.

I specifically requested the staff to make my food spicy hot, but what I received was hardly spicy at all. When I complained, no immediate action was taken, and I had to escalate the issue to the manager. After about 15 minutes, he finally brought some chili on the side — by that point, I was almost done eating and ready to leave. The lack of responsiveness and the overall quality of the food left a very bad impression.

If you're looking for authentic Indian cuisine, I strongly advise you to stay away from this place. This is one of the worst Indian restaurants I’ve ever experienced, and I won't...

Review of Sangam Restaurant

Sangam is hands down one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever experienced. The highlight of the visit was their set menu, which included a variety of flavorful appetizers, a perfectly cooked main course, and an unforgettable mango and coconut lassi. The combination of flavors was absolutely amazing and left me wanting more.

What made the experience even more delightful was Ransom, who greeted us with the warmest smile and provided excellent service throughout the meal. He was incredibly polite, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome.

The service was impressively fast, and since the restaurant wasn’t too crowded at the time, it added to the overall relaxing vibe. The decor and ambiance were simply stunning—elegant, cozy, and inviting. Every corner of the space felt thoughtfully designed, making it a perfect spot for a great meal.

Lastly, the pricing was very reasonable considering the quality of food and service. It was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend Sangam to anyone looking for a top-tier Indian...

I recently visited Sangam at Al Aali Mall and had a fantastic dining experience. I tried the prawn biryani package and the chicken makhani package. Each package came with generous appetizers including samosas, makhani balls, crispy papad, and refreshing cold drinks. You can choose between red tea or masala tea. I had the masala tea which was rich and perfectly spiced. The meal ends with ice cream. The biryani was flavorful and fragrant. The chicken makhani was creamy and well balanced. The fresh naan bread paired beautifully with the dishes. The appetizers were crispy and tasty which made the whole set menu feel like excellent value. A special mention to Mohamed Abdulwahab who was incredibly polite, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. His service truly elevated the experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Indian flavors in Bahrain.
