Recently, I visited soi7 to try their beef jhuri and butter naan, and I must say, it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and inviting aroma of freshly cooked food set the perfect tone for the meal.

Ambiance & Service:

The restaurant had a cozy and comfortable setting, making it ideal for a relaxed dining experience. The staff was polite and attentive, ensuring that the food was served fresh and hot. The seating arrangement was spacious, and the lighting was just right—not too dim, not too bright. While the service was generally good, there was a slight wait for the food, but it was understandable given the quality and freshness.

The Food: Beef Jhuri & Butter Naan

Now, coming to the main part—the food.

Beef Jhuri: This dish was truly the star of the evening. The beef was tender and perfectly shredded, giving it the signature "jhuri" (crispy and flaky) texture. It was well-spiced, with just the right balance of heat and aromatic flavors. The blend of slow-cooked beef with onions, green chilies, and special spices created a deep, rich taste. Each bite had a smoky undertone, which enhanced the overall experience.

Butter Naan: The naan was soft, warm, and fluffy, with a slight crisp on the outside. The generous spread of butter gave it a rich taste that paired wonderfully with the beef jhuri. Unlike some places where the naan becomes chewy after cooling down, this one remained soft throughout the meal.

Together, the beef jhuri and butter naan made for an indulgent combination. The richness of the butter naan balanced the spiced and crispy beef beautifully, making every bite satisfying.

Pricing & Value for Money:

The pricing was reasonable considering the portion size and quality. While it wasn’t the cheapest option, the flavors and portion made it worth every penny.

Overall Verdict:

If you're a fan of tender, flavorful beef with soft buttery naan, this place is definitely worth a visit. The authentic taste, well-balanced spices, and warm ambiance make it a great spot for both casual and special outings. While the service could be slightly faster, the quality of food makes up for it.

Soi7 is a vibrant and exciting spot that offers an incredible fusion of Asian flavors with a lively, modern twist! Located in a trendy area, it’s perfect for anyone looking for a great dining experience combined with a cool, upbeat atmosphere. The interior is stylish, with an eclectic mix of contemporary design and traditional Asian influences, making it a perfect setting for both casual meals and special occasions.

We went to have a family dinner unfortunately we were very disappointed. Poor Service, the waiters seemed too tired to serve , dropping things here and there, keeping plates making terrible noise, didn't want to follow the request to turn off the aircon, trying to take away the appetiser bowls with food in it because they wanted to serve the main course and also the glasses which I kept aside to drink water - as if they were in hurry to get out of there 😢 ... and when we went to wash hands after having the food, it looked very spooky as they turned off most of the lights and the rooms looked shabby and old.. the food were spicy and we couldn't finish them , so we had to bring it back home . They didn't inform us that those dishes were spicy , generally, they are not spicy in other restaurants . Overall, our dinner experience was unsatisfied. Hope the management sees the post and fixes the loop wholes . They need to give training to the waiters as well as the people at the...

1. garlic chicken curry: BDT 350, was dry and average 2. Butter chicken masala: BDT 570, the gravy was luscious and flavourful along with very tender meat pieces, but the amount of gravy was quite less 3. Beef sheek kabab: BDT 495, it was tender and a bit dry , yet flavor packed 4. Shrimp spaghetti: BDT 530, just usual dragon noodles with shrimps, it's quite pricey compared to the taste and portion 5. Sausage loaded pizza 14 inch: BDT 1165, was a bit burnt and very thin crust. 6. Meat madness pizza 14 inch: BDT 1015, very thin crust but plenty of pepperoni with lesser cheese. I wasn't fond of either pizza. 7. Garlic naan, 3 pieces per person: BDT 70, one of the best naans I have tasted. I recommend only the butter chicken gravy, beef sheek kabab and naans. Other items are pricey versions of the basic taste. Ambience is awesome, plenty of instagramable corners for photoshoot. Staff behavior was cordial.

Great place to be in with some really good dishes. Although with all the positive sides like ambience, sitting arrangements, great food I would also like to mention a few negative experiences we had. First of all, we went there on weekend and they were struggling bad to serve the customers, having an inadequate number of employees (most probably in the kitchen as it has a live kabab station and the mess was pretty visible). They served our naan maybe after 45 minutes of serving the kabab and other dishes. And a major improvement that can be done is in their washroom. It is a very small one which leads in queues. Over all with the points of improvement I mentioned, it can be an excellent place. N.B - It has both indoor and outdoor sitting arrangement & we chose outdoor.
