A’Sur restaurant — Restaurant in Antwerp

Have picked A‘Sur because of curiosity of the latin american an belgian fusion kitchen. We had a wonderful evening. Service is simply amazing and the kitchen need no additional words. We started with two different amouse (Sorry no picture of the amazing pork belly), first course was artichoke which taste was great but some of the leafes we‘re a little dry. Next was Octopus Bloody Mary wir celery! Woahh! like eating a cocktail. Third course local lobster with fennel cucumber salad. I‘d personally sa maybe the best dish of the evening. We moved on with a lotte and potato eapuma, which was perfectly prepared. Main dish was duck with butternut pumpkin – perfectly executed but didn’t really fit into the overall journey of the evening. Dessert was again super fresh with multiple version of lemon, that left us full, but not overfull.

All in all, we didn‘t understand the 13.5 Gault Millaut rating and would actually give at least a full point more – also because the wine pairings were pretty well picked.

Very cozy restaurant with extremely friendly service , amazing food and wine.
