GIO Pizza Bar 🇮🇹 — Restaurant in Antwerp

Friday night, I ordered 4 pizzas over Uber Eats at Gio Pizza Bar including a pizza Tartufata. About 20 minutes later I received a phone call from the restaurant, telling me the tartufata was sold out (which can happen) and that I had to change my order over the Uber Eats (which isn’t possible). After giving it a try anyway I called back, to receive an Uber Eats driver on the other side, not working at the restaurant. Apparently the restaurant didn’t want to use their own number to call me. I call the restaurant on the phone number I found at google to tell them to just give me another pizza instead of the tartufata as I can’t change it in the app. They made a whole issue out of it, especially as I wanted to change it to a pizza pistachio (1+1 for free that night) and didn’t want to give me the extra free pizza). Fed up with this I agreed not to get the free pizza I would’ve got if I ordered the pizza pistachio in the first place. Once that was out of the way they told me they would change my tartufata to a pistachio. I hang up the phone, waited another 30 minutes on my pizza, to see my order being cancelled on Uber Eats, ending up with no pizza at all for my pizza night. Honestly one of the worst services I...

I never got to try the pizza. I made a reservation for 21.30 At 21.25, me and my son were outside, by the benches. I waited a couple of minutes, and , as no one mind us, we sit down. Another 5 minutes passed, and no attention from the personnel. Finally, i made our presence noticed. To which, the waiter, on a very aggressive tone told us we should have waited at the door. We were visiting Antwerpen for a few days and really craving a good pizza, when we found this gem in the south of the city. We enjoyed the pizza so mich that we came back the following day to have another one.
