Review based on second visit
The waitress here is racist and we recommend better avoid this restaurant
After the first visit with good food experience we went for the second time on a weekday for lunch with our new born and in laws from India. I would say it was the worst experience . We went there around 2: 20 pm as the hotel will be closed by 3:30pm as per their website. The waitress was very rude when we asked for al carte menu. She mentioned in a very rude tone that kitchen is closed ( by 2:20 pm itself) and we should only choose the buffet. We could see the buffet menu was pathetic and no one had touched it and she also serving fresh orders to the local customers. When we enquired why your kitchen is closed while we came earlier than an hour before you close the hotel and while you are serving orders for others . For which her answer in a rude way is it's their decision we can eat the buffet or move out.
I understand it's their cheap tactic to sell her buffet food which has been prepared but not sold but answering me in a rude way and as a racist to choose to say the kitchen is closed only to our group is very offensive. Whether she choosed to be rude to me because I am an Indian or a South Indian is the one good reason. I choose never to go again to this restaurant

We tried this restaurant based on our friends recommendation. The food was amazingly tasty more like a dhaba.
We ordered a vada pav but what we got was a very soft bun stuffed with aloo masala ( it's not been battered or fried) it tasted really good but can't say it tasted as vada pav.
An unlimited buffet for 12€ is really a good deal and my daughter enjoyed the same.
The samosa chat , bhel Puri and papadi chat were worth for the taste , quantity and the cost.
The vegetable biriyani tasted more like a tawa pulao and it too was worth for the taste, quantity and the cost.
Though I prefer non vegetarian restaurants. The taste of food in this restaurant was good and am planning to...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Ahaar Food, and it was an experience worth sharing. The restaurant offers an innovative concept of an unlimited vegetarian buffet that truly satisfies both the palate and the soul. The buffet includes three varieties of sabji, daal, rice, and a delightful sweet dish, all complemented by an array of finger foods and a fresh salad bar.
The authenticity of the Indian flavors at Ahaar Food is remarkable. Each dish is prepared with care, capturing the essence of traditional Indian cuisine. The sabjis were rich and flavorful, the daal was comforting, and the rice was perfectly cooked. The sweet dish provided a delightful end to the meal, leaving a lingering taste of satisfaction.
What sets Ahaar Food apart is not just the food but also the atmosphere. The dining area is calm and serene, free from loud or distracting music, allowing guests to fully enjoy their meals and conversations. This peaceful environment enhances the overall dining experience.
The owners and staff are exceptionally welcoming and supportive. Their hospitality adds a personal touch that makes you feel right at home. They are attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that all your needs are met with a friendly smile.
In conclusion, Ahaar Food offers a delightful dining experience with its unlimited vegetarian buffet, authentic flavors, and warm hospitality. It's a place I'd highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy genuine Indian cuisine in a...
Read moreIn short, go for the buffet. That seems to be the only good thing for the money (personally haven't tasted but looks good for €12), that is what everyone was having when I went.
They don't serve tap/still water but what was little cruel was you can't even have your own water!
Coming to food, I unfortunately ended up ordering an uttapam and a bhel puri because buffet for dinner would have been too much. Uttapm was not really what it should be. It had capsicum and patches of pepper for some reason. The uttapam batter was also bad. A 2.5 stars in India and maybe a 3.5 stars in Antwerp. Sambhar was good and clearly not enough for the uttapam (see photo for reference). I ordered some more and promptly got it. Got to know while paying that it was 2 euros for that small bowl of sambhar which I was not informed. Seems like a crude way of making the customer pay more. Sambhar is 4.5 stars for Antwerp and 3.5 for India. White coconut chutney was bad. Maybe not fresh. So chutney is 3 stars in Antwerp and 1.5 in India. Bhel puri portion was good and taste ok. 3 stars in India and 4 stars in Antwerp.
Toilet was clean and good. Service is passable I guess. Was not provided napkins and ofcourse no water but order taking and serving...
