Muziekcafé Plansjee - Antwerpen — Restaurant in Antwerp

I have been in Antwerp for one week and this was my favourite bar! Ok there are roadworks right outside but it had such a nice, relaxed vibe. The crew working there were all so nice, it had a great selection of beer (I guess that goes for all bars in Antwerp?!!!) and a nice open sunny vibe. During the daytime the sun streams into the bar, the windows are open letting light and air in, so not at all dark or cramped.

For me, whenever in a foreign city I like to try and find a relaxed local bar. One without heaps of tourists, and where the locals are just chilling.

I ended up coming here six times, just to “be”. It’s a safe, relaxed, unpretentious place that I’ll certainly come back to, whenever...

Nice bar, decorated well with a nice vibe, but the service was quite slow despite the staff being friendly. Probably because there was only one lady working there on quite a busy evening, could do with some help from more staff. We enjoyed our time but only stayed for one drink. It looked like there was maybe a stage, so I wondered if they had live music back when things were open before the times of coronavirus restrictions. The music being played over the sound system was okay, but would be a great venue to have a few drinks listening...

Really nice bar with lovely nachos! Friendly staff, who have to fend off some arrogant clients but still remain friendly about it. Love this place—would visit again, 10/10! Be sure to take the local beer, Bolleke, since it’s poured like it...
