“Saving a surprise package with multiple left over meals or snacks” for a value of 25.00 Euro was what I ordered according to my reservation on Too Good To Go.

When I entered the shop I was immediately prompted to “swipe” in the TGTG-app, after which the man behind the counter disappeared in the kitchen. When he returned he put this dish in front of me and said “here’s your meal”.

When I complained about the fact that I hadn’t ordered a meal but a package and that this would not cost me € 25,00 if I had been a regular customer, he mumbled something about “already swiped, sometimes one sometimes 2. It’s ok, you will like it.” Confused I left the shop, of course realizing I had been set up by a shop that tries to sell their food for normal prices trough TGTG, in stead of selling saved left overs for 33% of the price.

Review based on a pick up order : Very poor amount of food for quite high prices. The food did not taste fresh or delicious. The ingredients seemed reused, reheated and of poor quality. Service was poor and unfriendly during pick up. After receiving the little amount of food provided and questioning if that indeed was the complete order, practically ordered to leave the premises and simply try the food at home since we would like it there. After getting home and not enjoying a dinner, checking a multitude of poor reviews on Google confirmed that ordering here through Takeaway, Social Deal, Too Good To Go or any online platform seems like a complete scam. Really cute hole in the wall establishment with solid food at a very reasonable price. I ate my fill here, loading up on some Surinamese comfort food prior to seeing Dua Lipa.

The roasted chicken was very tender and spicy. The egg rolls were also quite tasty. The only complaint I have is the fact that most of the food was frozen and reheated. I know this by taste and by the fact that view of the kitchen is easily seen from any table. Thus, I watched the woman take the egg rolls and skewers out of the freezer and place them in the microwave.
