't Fonteintje — Restaurant in Bruges

Cosy, warm, family run restaurant serving delicious home style cooking. We've been coming for years and have never been dissapointed. It's not a fancy place but it's very good at what it does, great value for money, and they don't try to rip you off. Also, the Flamish stew and house red are 2nd to none! I've read the negative reviews and a lot of the comments made sound as if they are from people who don't eat out often. This is a tourist town and all that goes with that... but they have always been friendly and respectfull when we have visited. So don't let the negative comments affect...

The food was not that good, as we ate in this city much better and cheaper. Also the staff was horrible because we were a group of 8 and some were not that hungry but had to buy a lot of food because this is their policy. I have never heard of this before in my life. How can you treat your clients like that? "We're not a snack bar"...ridiculous. Ohh and at the end when we got up, ready to leave, the owner came and checked if we left the money. I've never seen this...

Excellent little restaraunt with some very solid food. The Salmon tartar was great, the rabbit was amazingly well done, but the steak was undercooked to the point where it was rare. The table arrangement inside also made it feel a little crowded and hard to walk through, but overall it was a great meal after the redid my steak without any hassle.
