❗️⚠️Warning ❗️⚠️ ❗️Beware ⚠️❗️
Hands down the worst place I ate in the last few years.
Ridiculous prices. I paid 12 euro for a children’s small falafel with bread with 5 disgusting falafels, the falafel looked like something you buy in Lidl. My friend 23 euro for a disgusting kebab plate or something. Very strange kebab, more like minced beef. Never seen something like it. They fried it in a pan and then inside an oven. What is that?
We waited for a long time to get the menu and even longer for the food. My friend got the food and the fries 5-10 min later after. Some people decided to leave whilst waiting.
I almost vomited when I went into the toilet. So much detergent in the toilet that I couldn’t breathe and it stank to the outside also. Chernobyl or a restaurant?
I swear to god I was so angry and annoyed after leaving this place.
Their rating cannot be true. It’s impossible. This is maximum a 2/5 restaurant. Rating manipulation. If I can prevent only one person from going to this place I will be happy and maybe sent to heaven by god.
They will respond and say that we ate the food, which is true because the food was edible and we were starving. It seems that they get mad when you expose them with reviews and don’t take criticism well.
This place is an abomination. Absolute abomination.
Edit:
Reply to the owner:
The owner Said that my reviews are all negative, everyone is free to check my profile and call out this lie. Most of my reviews are full of positive remarks when it is deserved.
Yea, as stated above I ate my food because it’s awful to throw food, we were starving and we paid 50 euros. Both me and my friend had stomach issues afterwards.
It was so much detergent in that filthy toilet that you started to almost vomit and she is talking about candles?
What can I say to you whilst eating? Not like it would have helped with anything. Please, if you come to Brugge go eat anything else...

Oh, Brugge, how your cobblestone streets have called me back! After spending a whirlwind six and a half years in the enchanting realms of Cambodia, my taste buds and I have finally returned to our Belgian roots. And what was one of the first stops on this homecoming journey? None other than the legendary "Amon Lebanese Restaurant Halal" in the vibrant heart of Brugge. 🏡❤️
As a frequent flyer at Amon before my Asian escapade, I wondered if time had altered the essence of this beloved spot. To my utter delight, not only has Amon maintained its high standards of cleanliness and quality, but it also felt like coming home to a family that knew exactly how to welcome me back - with open arms and an open kitchen! 🎉👨🍳
Stepping back into Amon was a testament to time's inability to tarnish true culinary craftsmanship. The open kitchen, the spotless dining area, and the warm greetings felt like no day had passed. Since my return, I've already indulged in two meals, each a reassuring embrace of flavors and hospitality.
Now, let's talk about the star of my Amon experience - the "Africa Dish." Oh, where do I begin with this masterpiece? Imagine succulent small pieces of meat, each a tender testament to the chef's prowess, all lovingly embraced by an array of superb homemade sauces. This dish isn't just a meal; it's a journey - a flavorful expedition that reaffirms why, for over two decades, Amon has been a culinary beacon in Brugge. 🌍🍖
If you find yourself wandering the magical streets of Brugge, let your senses lead you to Amon Lebanese Restaurant Halal. Whether you're a returning local or a curious traveler, the "Africa Dish" awaits to transform your meal into an unforgettable experience. In a city famed for its history, Amon continues to carve its legacy, one dish at a time. A no-brainer indeed for anyone seeking a taste of...
Read moreDuring our first visit to Bruges with my husband and our 2-year-old daughter, we dined at this restaurant, seated near the kitchen where the owner was both cooking and serving. I already got food for our daughter, which the owner kindly warmed up. For us, a vegetarian combi meal was chosen – hummus, salad, 7 falafel, pita bread, suitable for sharing. Unfortunately, there was no indication in the restaurant that each person needed to order at least two dishes or drinks to occupy a table or receive additional plates.
Upon serving, my husband requested extra plates since we were sharing. Surprisingly, we were given only one. When my husband asked for another, the owner stated that he usually provides only one plate per dish and charges 3 euros for an extra plate. My husband mentioned that we've dined at other Bruges restaurants without encountering such a rule, and returned the plate. The owner insisted on his policy, threatened to take the food back, and took an aggressive stance.
Despite my husband's efforts to maintain calm, the owner abruptly snatched the plates away while we were eating, placing them in the kitchen. My husband objected, stating this was inappropriate, and the owner responded by physically striking him. In response, my husband, still trying to remain composed, threw a plate on the floor without touching the owner. Shockingly, the owner retaliated by kicking my husband in the stomach. The situation escalated until other customers intervened, prompting us to leave the restaurant for safety, with our daughter in tears and some other customers leaving as well.
This experience showcased a complete lack of humility and composure on the part of the owner. It was a dreadful encounter, marred by an aggressive owner and an unsafe environment. So whenever you dine in at this restaurant, beware of the owner who is...
