We tried this place during a christmas week night in Brugge. It was almost full when we arrived, but there was a very nice table available, almost if it was waiting for us.
The service was quick: the drinks and the pizzas (we both ordered margherita pizzas) came relatively fast. The compliments end here.
I judge it's really difficult to make bad margherita/mozzarella/cheese pizza, but here it was possible. Every single ingredient lacked taste. The sauce was lifeless, with no color, the crust felt like it could've been cooked more and the cheese had almost no taste.
Maybe we made the wrong choice (about what to order). Maybe we should've gone for the regular pasta, since it's from there the good reviews come from...
Read moreIncredibly fast service and delicious, affordable Italian pizza. Plenty of other pasta &etc. options for non-pizza lovers. Recommend the “calzone” pizza (special request: un-folded); see picture below. My family went here and we all shared, and everyone’s dish was great (and I’m kind of a picky eater)! The gnocchi, 4-cheese pasta, veggie spaghetti, all of it! Highly recommend stopping here if you’re staying in the area; potential Michelin star material. My little brother commented negatively about the portion size; being slightly smaller than the restaurant we visited last night, but as an American I think that our expectations of portion sizes are much higher than people from every other...

The staff were friendly and happy for us to sit outside with the dog. Food came quickly and was perfectly nice. Good sized pizzas on thin doughy bases. It wasn't authentic Italian but any British person going to an establishment called "Bella Italia" expecting authentic Italian food deserves to be disappointed. Having read some of the other reviews it's possible there were other staff on because all three were friendly. My only grumble was that bottled water was $4 for 0.5l which I thought was a lot. No hidden extras on the...
