Beyond Waffles — Restaurant in Brussels

We had an incredible experience at Beyond Waffles in Brussels! The owner and staff were absolutely wonderful, going above and beyond to explain everything in detail, making the visit even more enjoyable. The sweet fruit waffle bowl with crème fraiche was light, airy, and not overly sweet, thanks to their homemade low-sugar batter and fresh fruit. It was a refreshing take on the typical heavy waffle. The savoury "Mac" waffle burger, made with bio-beef and thinner waffles, was perfectly balanced with amazing homemade truffle mayo. We also enjoyed two refreshing homemade non-alcoholic cocktails—lavender and raspberry—both made without sugar. was looking for somewhere close to my accommodation for the infamous belgian fries experience. this place didn’t disappoint! Not only did i get the fries, i also got the waffle, in the form of a loaded chicken burger, using waffles as a bun. The language barrier didn’t stop me from ordering exactly what i wanted, even going as far as ringing her daughter to speak english to me, when i didn’t understand with my limited french. She was so accommodating, allowing me to respond to other questions in spanish, when my french failed me. The food was lovely tasting too and a lot of effort had gone into the presentation. I was pleasantly surprised by the experience of this place. It's basically burgers but with waffles as buns.

The thing is, unlike a lot of burger places, they have some actually good quality meat. Their choice of putting in jalapeños adds just the right amount of spice to the dishes.

Their prices are quite decent, count around 13€ for a menu with fries, a drink and sauce included.

We went to eat outside, but the smell was funny. However, it makes sense as it's a very crowded place with lots of restaurants.

Finally, the quality of service was top-notch. The personnel is very nice, and will suit to your every need.
