Massive tourist trap, I would advise to look elsewhere. The mussels (half of which were empty) and fries are frozen (shameful for the capital of fries), the accompanying sauces are overdiluted by an excess of celery (maybe in a poor attempt to cover up the general insipidity). The wine (white Chardonnay) tasted of the metal from its aluminium screw top. Service was dismal (except for one waiter who was new and very nice). The manager was unpleasant and yelled at me for tearing the receipt off the credit card machine myself (and kept telling me off very aggressively even after I apologized and explained that my intention was just to help him out). They also refused to serve tap water (even just one glass), and the water bottle is 8.50€. The toilets are dark, dank, and stink of week-old urine. I believe this place lives off its formerly good reviews which are now...

A fuir !

To flee ! We went to eat at this restaurant on Saturday night. My friends ordered mussels and I "a vol au vent" (price €19.50). The only vol au vent on the plate was drowned out by the sauce. The chicken that had been added, was very dry ! They didn't even bother to reheat it with the sauce... I began to doubt the quality when I chewed very hard to eat it. I then asked the server when the chicken was dated. All he could tell me was that he offered me the dish. Since Saturday evening, I don't feel well at all, I had food poisoning. I find it unacceptable that you serve spoiled meals to your customers. I do not recommend this address at all!

Vluchten !

Microwaved food for 40 euros?? I can understand a bit of French, and listening to the waitress tell the table next to you "you'll get something special unlike those tourists" really ruined my appetite. On our romantic holiday to Brussels we booked a table for dinner at this restaurant in hope to taste authentic Belgian food. We arrived a little later than the French-speaking table next to us. Our food came first (obviously microwaved) mine was meatballs and fries, but the meatballs and sauce (with clumps) were a lot colder than the fries. The waitresses were condescending and a lot less service-focused than any other place in Brussels. Utterly terrible experience and very...

This traditional Belgian restaurant is a fantastic place for a good meal. The staff are very friendly and can speak multiple languages (English, French, and Spanish, at least). The food is brought out very quickly, and they have a lot of great options. Not to mention that the menus are in Tintin books, which is a great addition. I thoroughly enjoyed my carbonnade flamande (Flemish stew soaked with beer and other spices) and the cherry beer (Kieck) which was surprisingly sweet. I also enjoyed the Belgian waffle I received for dessert. All in all, a fantastic meal. Highly recommend coming here to try their assortment of beers

We started off dinner with cheese and shrimp croquette! The shrimp one goes well with lemon! Then main courses are meatball with Belgium sweeet syrup and their own fries! I would say the huge meatballs are good (lean meat and I feel healthier eating it 😋). The Flemish beef stew was good too! The sauce is tasty but the beef could be more tender. We ended our dinner with chocolate mousse! Yummy! The staffs are incredibly polite and friendly!

I was in Brussels from Tuesday to Friday and had dinner at different restaurants, but nothing impressed me—until I found Baladi. This place is a hidden gem! The food was absolutely incredible, full of rich flavors and authentic spices. Another highlight is The tamarind drink—pure perfection! The service was top-notch, making the whole experience even better. If you’re in Brussels, Baladi is a must-visit. I’d go back in a heartbeat!
