While we walked through the streets near Grand Place in Brussels looking for a halal place, we were called in by the waiters from Saffron Restaurant. We reluctantly went in and were very thankful for doing do because the food was delicious! We went twice while in Brussels and would have gone a third time had we stayed longer. We were told that the burgers are popular and so we ordered a plate which came with a burger, fries, and salad. The salad in itself was a treat as it came with feta, olives and dressing. The fries were also epic because...well....its Belgium. The second time we went we ordered the same and we had a chance to meet with the very kind owner. He told us that everything was made with saffron aka "red gold". The buns, which they make themselves also have saffron and they were indeed very soft and flavorful and thick. The burgers are made on a charcoal grill which gives them that flame grilled taste. The owner also gave us some complimentary saffron and cinnamon tea with saffron rock sugar. It was delicious and really hit the spot on a cold rainy night. This restaurant is relatively new as the owner mentioned ,but we hope it establishes itself well because we would love to visit again if we come back...

Having visited this restaurant twice, once last summer and again in April 2024, I've observed changes over time. On my initial visit, the culinary offerings left a strong impression, but it seems the food quality has slightly diminished since then.

The rice, a staple of Iranian cuisine, unfortunately fell short of expectations. It lacked the essential seasoning of salt and was marred by an excess of oil, detracting from its usual aromatic allure. The kebabs, while good, hinted at the potential for greatness with a bit more finesse in their preparation.

A practical concern arose with the men's restroom facilities, where saw the absence of a lamp and a malfunctioning sink.

On the brighter side, the staff were helpful. The restaurant's good location in the heart of Brussels is undeniably convenient and appealing.

However, the interior design missed an opportunity to showcase the rich tapestry of Iranian culture, which could have added depth and authenticity to the atmosphere.

In conclusion, while the restaurant maintains several strengths, particularly in service and location, there is a noticeable room for improvement in both culinary execution and ambiance to truly reflect the essence of Iranian...

I ordered the beef steak. Staff seem to be friendly and they take your order precisely. Order to table was also as expected. However when the food came, the presentation looked nice. However, the beef quality was extremely poor and cheap quality. The french fries were as if they were reheated and they put mayonnaise on everything. In conclusion, I strongly do not recommend this restaurant I will definitely never visit again. If in the area there are much better places to try out than this restaurant.

Below added after owner comments** People should refrain from visiting this restaurant based on racist remarks by the owner (second image). This is what you get from criticizing their poor quality meat. If you still want to eat here better stay quiet and don’t complain otherwise owners can get mad for not liking their food, probably this is how they get high ratings.

Worst customer service, instead of fixing their problems they jump on customers. If they want good returning customers they should...
