This small Greek restaurant, nestled in a lively street full of other eateries, has been a personal favorite for over 15 years—and it never disappoints. If you’re a kebab lover, this place is a must-visit. Their kebab is consistently delicious and satisfying. That said, I wouldn’t recommend their full plates—they’re just average in taste. Still, they’ll do the job if you’re really hungry. Prices have gone up a bit over the years, which is unfortunate, but they’re still reasonable compared to similar spots. Seating is limited, spread over two small floors, and the hygiene definitely leaves much to be desired—I’d give that just 1 star. The staff is friendly, though usually rushed due to the high volume of customers and tourists, so don’t expect personal attention. Overall: If you’re craving a solid kebab in the heart of the city, this is the place to go. Just manage your expectations on cleanliness and service.

A great Gyros with a decent (6 euros) price tag, I ate the Greek Gyros which was meat based and it was enough to get me through a long day of walking in Brussels, the Gyros itself had a warm and fresh Pita and Salad with Fries inside (it's not belgian fries though, they get a bit soaky inside the Gyros but still taste good) they are really generous with the amount of meat inside the Gyros and also were very fast in the order processing even though I took it as take away (place it pretty cramped during rush hour. If I had more time I would have come again for the chicken Gyros next time.

My friend and I were sick of the fried food that seems to be all over Brussels so we decided to go here. I made sure to read reviews and everything. To start, the food was INCREDIBLY salty, even the salad. That alone made it inedible. As we continued eating, we noticed my friends chicken was completely raw inside. I told the staff very politely and they brushed me off. We paid and I said the food was raw can we have another skewer. They were very hard pressed to do anything about it and just regrilled the raw pieces and sent us on our way. I guess hospitality is just an American thing.

When we arrived to eat in, the waiter asked if we had our Covid Safe Ticket and our ID. We said yes and got our phones out, which is when he told us we didn't need to show it because he "trusts his clients". Clearly he did not understand that the whole reason the CST is needed is because people have shown time and time again they could not be trusted. In doing so, he puts his clients at risk and prevents people who actually need the CST to be applied (immunocompromised people, for instance) from eating at his restaurant.

He even told us we would be the ones who would have to pay a fine if there was a check, apparently forgetting he would himself be paying up to 2500 € as well. It's scary to see that almost two years into a pandemic, people still do not understand the reasons they are asked to do things. And we wonder why the cases are surging...

After that he told us to just go away. I still can't believe the guy's attitude and how immensely rude he was; clearly he doesn't care about his clients because most are tourists. Needless to say we did go away, and we won't be back. It's a shame, because from what I remember their pitas...

Plaka in Brussels offers a decent Greek dining experience, with a menu featuring many of the classics you’d expect—gyros, souvlaki, and other Mediterranean favorites. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it a comfortable spot for a quick meal or a laid-back dinner with friends.

While the flavors are generally good and the portions generous, the meat can sometimes be on the dry side, which takes away a bit from the overall experience. That said, the seasonings and accompaniments, like fresh salads and warm pita bread, help round out the meal and keep it enjoyable.

Service is friendly and efficient, and the prices are reasonable for the area, making it a fair option if you’re craving Greek food without splurging. The relaxed vibe and familiar dishes make it a convenient stop, especially if you’re nearby and in the mood for Mediterranean flavors.

Overall, Plaka isn’t extraordinary, but it’s a solid choice for a casual Greek meal. Despite the occasional dryness of the meat, the food remains satisfying, and the welcoming atmosphere ensures a decent...
