Snack Athènes — Restaurant in Brussels

Our experience here was just terrible. (What seemed to be) the owner just tried to trick us into taking the wrong beer because he didn't have the one mentioned on the menu. We asked for a framboise and he gave us a kriek and told us it was made of framboise. His employee tried to correct the issue by asking whether we had asked for a kriek and then taking it back when we said no, but he told her off and tried to blame her telling us she didn't speak well. When confronted he insisted it was the same, but when he saw I knew what I was talking about the he tried to offer it for free. We cancelled everything and da left. Tourist trap. When you have to point out to the waiter that the prices and quantity of the food are different (higher, less smaller portions) from the ones they advertise on the sign in the street, and his answer is that they are currently waiting for an updated sign, for me that's simply dishonest and disrespectful. So pleased we found this lovely Greek restaurant which is very close to the Grand Place. We were welcomed the minute we walked through the doors. The gyros and fries were delicious and the portions were big so great value for money. The atmosphere was really nice with a mix of background music including Greek which we loved. Thank you to all the wonderfully friendly staff who made our visit a memorable one. We will be back....
