We are on vacation from the US, staying in Brussels and traveling around - Brugge, Antwerpen, today Ghent and it's Sunday. We usually follow Rick Steves self-guided walk and this walk takes you down streets crowded with tourists just like us, and restaurants overflowing with people. Not very appealing, so we veer off a bit and see this nice place, restaurant Akdeniz on the corner and it looks like it's open, there are people inside. I pull the door - open and a waiter greets us at the. I'm asking him what food they serve and he says - Turkish. Great, it means it will have good salads and lamb and other yummy things. The place is nice and clean and looks like the people inside are all locals. The guys serving us were great, spoke English (although just about everyone here does) and made great recommendations. I had pizza with lamb/mushroom/egg and it came with a good-size salad. It was delicious and a lot, I had to take some of it home. All of it delicious, I finished up the rice. And did I mention that they brought olives and marinated peppers first. We both had Yakut, Turkish red wine, very tasty and went well with dinner. And finished our dinner with very good Turkish coffee. Strongly, strongly recommend this place for every category, for service, for food, for atmosphere, for location (it's not that far...

The service was on point and the staff was extremely kind and humored me and my obnoxious friends, which created a fun atmosphere. The food was absolutely spectacular. Shared several plates of delicious Turkish cuisine and left satisfied with a lovely complimentary tea after the bill arrived. Definitely coming again! Ah, and order the Pide. A lovely...
Read moreTook our non-Turkish friends for a dinner as they were curious of the cuisine, and we all enjoyed the food :) Definitely reccomend getting the meze plate as it has a little bit of everything. For main dishes we went with çöp şiş and pide and both were good, the meat was of great quality. The servers were really helpful, they kindly served us tea and offered baklava at the end of our meal as well. Perfect place for long discussions over dinner with friends, especially on these warm...
