We ate there today. Awful. It's basically a takeout masquerading as a restaurant. You pay at the till, and seat yourself. Just like McDonalds...at least McDonalds staff supported by a point of sale system do not encourage you to tip even before being served. I left 5 Euros, only to find out the server(s) do not get the tip. The company takes it, and it is based on their discretion and the "team decision" how the monies are spent. Both the server and the chef complained that they never see any ofnthe tips...the manager however contradicted them both. This is false advertising and inflates the receipts to the company based on the good will of customers. Disgusting. The bathroom is at he time of writing a building site. All the condiments were either empty or semi-empty and dirty. Our bill for 2 burgers and 2 drinks came to over 50 Euros. When I threatened to sue them, they gave me my 5 Euros back. This all begs the question why did the server prompt me to leave a tip? When I asked him he just laughed at me. The manager wondered what all the fuss (I was making was about)...I guess in his world theft of 5 Euros is not a big deal. Someone should report this to their corporate, as according to Belgian law, this is an illegal practice unless the consumer is __explicitly notified of the definition of "tip". The fact remains that as soon as the bill including tip is paid, it acrues interest...hence...
Read moreWe just ate there today. Let's see now...empty condiments on most tables, disgusting bathroom...its a derelict building site, and waiter that took our order (you have to order at the till) asked if we would like to leave a tip (you have to pay there and then when you order)...the POS system asks you for 1, 2 or 3 or Other...So, I chose Other, and paid 5 Euros...even though we had not been served yet. Then I asked him if the tip goes to him, he laughed and said no. I asked the chef the same question; he _also said no. Apparently the company "takes the tips". So I asked the waiter, why would you do that to a customer, knowing full-well that the company takes it? There was no reply...he just laughed. The same waiter got our orders wrong, so we had to figure it out, that we got the wrong burger on our plate and swap. It is an absolute dive...its pretends to be a restaurant...but you are better off @ Quick...oh and the beef is supposed to be Irish Angus...tasteless. So do yourself a huge favour, and go to an honest outlet, both in terms of illegal practices of upping the bill with something that is not a tip, and beef that is crap quality at best. btw, I got my 5 Euros back after complaining. For sure, someone should take them to court for false...

When the burger arrived, it was a sight to behold. The patty was thick and juicy, nestled between a soft, toasted bun. The lettuce was crisp, the tomato fresh, and the pickles — oh, the pickles were just the right amount of tangy.
As I took my first bite, I was transported back to simpler times. The flafel was perfectly seasoned, with a savory flavor that made my taste buds dance. It was everything a burger should be: satisfying and hearty without being overwhelming. The melty cheese, slightly oozing down the sides, added a delightful creaminess.
I couldn’t help but smile as I savored each bite, reminiscing about summer barbecues and family gatherings. This burger reminded me that sometimes the best things in life are the simplest.
In the end, I left that diner with a full belly and a warm heart. This classic burger wasn’t just a meal; it was a trip down memory lane, and I would gladly take that...
