Had lunch here on a Saturday and quite enjoyed it. The ordering is uncomplicated with a self-service kiosk and the food arrived quickly. The ramen was very tasty, slightly on the salty side but that could be due to the addition of some spicy mince I chose as an extra. The broth is good but not as creamy, rich and savory as I had it with other tonkotsu in the past. The noodles were too soft for my liking and lacked a chew. The chashu was definitely a highlight though: thinly cut it almost melts in your mouth. The prices are slightly on the high side for some items (e.g., the gyozas cost 8€ if I remember correctly, which is definitely not cheap) and they lack customization options on the table such as sesame seeds or spices. Nevertheless, a solid ramen overall and recommended!

Great ramen, takoyaki and karaage! I had the regular ramen and my friend tried the spicy variant, which were both great. The takoyaki and kaarage also tastes good. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also very nice, the interior looked authentic and there's a machine where you can place your order just like the ramen restaurants in Japan. They also have a nice little garden area if you want to sit outside. I do think there's room for improvement when you're used to the quality of ramen they serve in japan (or at other restaurants like Takumi for example) but many these are unrealistic expectations or I just enjoy their tonkotsu ramen too much. Either way definitely one of the best you can get in Leuven :)

Very tasty ramen, streetfood-style shop, nicely decorated. The menu is very short, mains are basically ramen, spicy ramen, and vegetarian. I'd say its a good thing, as that's what you come here for. Its an open kitchen directly in the shop, so you can watch your food being made. There's also a selection of starters (we had the 'bun chashu', which was quite good), desserts and Japanese drinks (incl. sodas and beers). See their website for the menu. Ordering food works somewhat differently: When you come in, there's a big screen on the right, where you browse the menu (with pictures, and in Dutch and English), select food & drinks, pay via card, and then find a table.

The "Susuru Classic" would taste quite a lot better with a Katsuobushi (鰹節) aroma oil. In my humble opinion, leave an option to choose your aroma oil at this premium of a price. The broth is too mild. Too heavy on the Tare (垂れ), too light on the aroma oil. The Chashu doesn't taste great. Potentially, braise it then roast it if that's not the current method of cooking it. Quite frankly, the prices are a rip-off. 17 euros for a bowl of one of the most mediocre bowls of ramen I've ever tasted in my life is stupidly overpriced. The music is quite good; they play j-pop anime openings/endings for the most part. The seating, furniture, and cutlery are great. The owner is a nice man, to be fair. I hope he will listen to my suggestion, or even contact me for help if he so desires. However, I will give this restaurant 2 stars based on the subpar taste...

Very good service and I like the idea of ordering from a screen, and the chef's love for Japan really seeps out of this bar.

I had takoyaki as a side dish which was okay. The ramen itself is a little complicated. I had the classic. Egg was perfectly cooked and I can tell there's effort being put on preparing the pork chashu. However, the broth wasn't rich enough for me which I consider the most important part of a good ramen. I also prefer my broth thicker, but that's my personal taste.

While I liked the cozy Japanese feel of the interior, some parts don't seem particularily hygienic, such as the little spice bottles that felt sticky. I normally don't pay attention to such things, but I felt the place could use a cleanup.

But in the end, the food is what matters most to me and I can say...
