The Fiere Margriet — Restaurant in Leuven

One of the best beer cafés of Leuven! They have a large permanent selection of Belgian (and a couple of foreign) craft beers as well as a selection of temporary visitors. This bar is one of the few places where you can order all the Trappist beers, (Belgian, Dutch, Italian, Istrian and even the Spencer from the USA)

The lady's or designed drivers who are not so fond of beer can taste the 50 shades of tea.

If you don't know wich beer to try, you can ask the bartender to help you select a beer to your taste, the staff has an excellent beer knowllage.

The bars interior is quite unique an has stuffed animals and antlers as decoration on the walls you may find old vintage beer ads.

Most times the downstairs part is crowded but in the upstairs part you can mostly find a confy place to sit and enjoy your beer.

10/10. Incredibile beer selection and Ben (the owner) is a great guy, he knows a lot and was with us throughout the evening. It was an unforgettable drink. He led us through different beer styles, starting with the ones we know best and moving on to some unique drinks. He was truly generous, friendly, and welcoming. One of the best evenings ever. For a non-Euro beer tourist this could be a great place. If you come when things aren't too busy and get your nose in the extensive beer menu, you might get a local feel. But in reality it is not a very interesting place. That big beer list has nothing you can't find elsewhere, the service was very impersonal and not interested in beer it seemed.
