First time I came back here with 3 of my friends after the restaurant was closed for a while. We were very curious as also a new owner took it over. Unfortunately we were completely disappointed compared to the quality and service we got with the previous owner.
Seriously disappointing.
The food is fine but much too expensive; the wine list is bad (on two levels: first, most of it’s not written down, so you’re supposed to choose by listening to someone list regions without giving the prices or even telling you which are reds and which are whites; meanwhile a lot of them seem to have come from a night shop - the one we had was grave juice - at a 300% mark up); the service is awful.
The staff didn’t know what was available, had to keep going to the kitchen to check things, and then still weren’t sure. When we asked if they could close the door, they said yes, but never did. Things we ordered never came but were still on the bill. No one knew how to create a VAT receipt, and their card reader didn’t work…thank God we had cash.
When I’m paying €40HT for a steak (plus the price of the grape juice), I expect it to come with decent service.
I can think if at least two places that have a similar range of quality meat but are cheaper with better choices of sides, better wine lists, and better service (try Renard Bleu). I can think of several at the same price that are twice as good (Brigittines, for example). No reason too waste...

But that was the least of our worries because the new owner came with new prices and no price list, so he charged excessive prices. Indicatively: 12€ for 1 lt of water! it is by far the most expensive bottle of water I have ever paid. Then, 34€ !!! for a simple salad composed of few tomatoes and mozzarella! Not in a Michelin star restaurant you don’t get to pay that much for a salad!!. 5.5€ for a side sauce! I have the impression the owner thinks he runs a Michelin star restaurant in St. Gilles. Finally, they no longer have the scampis in the menu so if you don’t eat meat your will end up with a salad. I used to be a regular customer, but not...
