For €8-€11 you can guarantee that your stomach will be filled with several delicious focaccia options at this Italian Restaurant. This place specializes and only offers focaccia, but with a lot variations. For the price you pay you get quite a big piece. Perfect for when you’re hungry but definitely not if you’re not hungry because it fills up well. They don’t have special drinks so it’s not the place for drinks but definitely for the love of focaccia. I ordered the ‘Sette Bello’ which is one that has the perfect amount of ham, spicy salami, tomato and roquette for a reasonable €8. You can also take your order to go instead of dining in and I would recommend avoid going during lunch time because it’s always crowded but they make the dishes really fast so the line goes at an okay speed. The interior is well decorated but quite cramped so I would say that it’s not for the claustrophobic hearted. Same with the outside terrace seating. The tables and chairs are too close to one another. The staff was kind and had a warm energy. Overall this place is perfect to go to when you’re hungry, but during non-peak hours and with maximum 1 other person. Not suited for more than 2 people and definitely not...
Read moreA big surprise for any Italian visiting Brussels. I had see another place belonging to the same brand in Leuven, few week ago, but failed to find it open. The brand itself mean a lot for the Italian, a great choice.
Some of the panini, all made with real focaccia (or as we in Rome say "pizza bianca") are gorgeous. The "Italiana" has nothing to ask to the best paninerie that you can find in Italy. I recommend it above all. I also tried the "Romana", with porchetta and pecorino toscano. Very good, but it was served a tad too cold for such a combination. Focaccia must be served very warm and crispy. Indeed the focaccia (I ate at 20:30) didn't seem to be freshly baked but ... was quite good anyhow. Remember that one piece is very big. You won't be able to eat two of them in a row. The dining room instead need some more attention. It's a bit under the standard of a typical...
Read moreFinally this place is open and it went out with a bang! Nothing short of really good and I cannot but highly recommend this newly opened spot in Brussels.
The food here is just fantastic. The focaccia itself is crisp, the filling very fresh and they do not skimp on anything. They really do load up with delicious hams and spreads. Come hungry cause these portions are huge (and for 10€, a great deal). I could not finish all my food and that seldom happens.
Loved the menu as well. Everyone will find something they like.
Big kudos for keeping your head over water during these super hectic first opening days. Despite long lines it went relatively fast and nothing was pre-made. All fresh per customer.
Warm welcome to Brussels guys. Everyone do yourself a favour...
