The absolute rudest bar tender on the island. Asked about drinks, was told it is written on the menu.. when we asked about what a drink was we were swiftly and impatiently shown a glass and told “It is that!”… to which we replied “ok but was is in it” and he replied, again very put off, “it is just a pina colada on ice, ok!!!?”
Of all the bars, all the restaurants on Caye Caulker this place has hands down the rudest, least useful service. I would only recommend this place if after a few days of i slow, friendly Island life you really miss big city horrible service and want to feel better as soon as you walk away from this place.

Read moreMy wife and I are visiting Caye Caulker for our honeymoon, and we have fallen in LOVE with Bender’s Beach Bar. Alex, the owner, is nothing short of phenomenal! Brings a little bit of South Bend, Indiana into the mix with the American tradition of 2 ounces per drink to level off a great experience! You’re getting more than your money’s worth. Seriously, she’s great. Fun atmosphere, serene view on the water, wonderful conversation, unbeatable prices, and even better drinks. Not to mention, if you’re a non drinker, her virgin makes aren’t just ice and syrup. She’ll get you right. You WONT regret it!!! When we come back to the island, we know where our first stop will be. Thanks...
Read moreI was in Caye Caulker for a week and found this to be my favorite place. Fantastic location and such a comfortable place to chill. The owners are great and will initiate conversations which being from Boston is a rare thing. I even hung out with one of the owners father and had a great time drinking beers and talking for a few hours. The music selection changes throughout the day and you won't be disappointed! If you don't want to hear the same old island tourist songs this is the place for you. Great place! Hope to be back soon! Joe makes a great Banana...
