Warning, the menu has changed to fine dining. First of all, I confess that I did not do my research well enough before coming here as I was expecting cafe style. The reasons for my one star review is the following: 1, the waiter is super useless and unhelpful. He knew we actually did not expect it to be a proper dining place yet he did not explain to me the portion of the dish but simply took our order and go. This is not what I expect from a proper restaurant, even red carpet does a better job; even I showed displease with the portion, he did not offer to change but saying that is the portion; when it comes to billings that I asked to spilt the bill and he took forever to understand the concept of splitting the bill and continue to sell us the 3 course meal. He is clearly into promoting sale rather than serving customers. He needs a proper training, otherwise how can he deserve compulsory tips. 2, the food is super pricey, I paid 22 for an appetiser equivalent portion of a salad 3, my friend got food poisoning from the restaurant after having risotto We are never going back again.

I’m a local and I enjoy getting up from my desk and taking a walk down to Dangelini’s. The service is always spot on, and so are the desserts and teas! Yes, they have coffee, but I’m a tea drinker. The atmosphere is very relaxing and surrounded by beautiful harbour views. My favourite is a basic tunafish sandwich, no fluff just a tuna on white bread with lettuce. It’s reasonably priced and that way I can have a small piece of dessert. Some of those desserts are irresistible. If you’re in the City of Hamilton, be sure to look out for this cafe. It’s conveniently right outside of the ferry terminal and steps away from the visitor’s service center

We had our doubts about going to Dangelinis but as soon as we went in, they received us with a warm greeting. I was just going to have coffee (which was good) but I tried the Ham Melt and it was soo tasty. It doesn't look fancy but it's delicious. At the end we asked a couple of questions on how to go to the places we wanted to go and they took the time to explain everything and even made a couple of suggestions which improved our trip so much. The place has a nice view and a decent WiFi.
