Three tables at the very top of this super friendly Mostar restaurant have stupendous views of the Old Bridge while being covered so you don't get wet if it rains (as happened while we were eating). Given that this is obviously a place for tourists one might expect a so-so meal at an expensive price. However, while a little more than local average the prices were fair and the cooking excellent ( delicious trout particularly, good red wine by the glass and excellent Loza). However, what made the experience particularly memorable was the staff who were not only friendly and attentive - they went beyond the call of duty to retrieve a pair of reading glasses that had tumbled off our table and landed in the fenced yard area of a different, closed premises way below. That required climbing over sharp metal railings then jumping around 2m down a wet wall (and somehow getting back up again). A physical feat, but also one of considerable bravery give the wet conditions and possibility of injury. All in all this was an unforgettable experience that was one of several that helped make Mostar a really memorable places in our travels. Many thanks.

Great restaurant with awesome views of the Old Bridge, nice atmosphere, super-friendly service and yummy authentic food. We were passing through Mostar on the way to Brela, and stopped by for a quick bite. The food was phenomenal, grilled fish is a must-try! We also got the meat combo dish, which didn’t disappoint. After the main meal we were treated to some local delights like fig pie and Bosnian coffee with rahat lukum (kind of local marmalade). We basked in the warmth and hospitality of the host, who told us stories about his childhood, reminiscing about the war days, and giving us some insight into political and everyday challenges of modern Bosnia. This is a family-run business, and we enjoyed the complete experience of immersion into Bosnian culture, starting with the host, a tall Bosnian in his early 40s serving the tables, his sister and his mother manning the kitchen, and a couple of stray cats enjoying the fish bones leftovers (our children especially loved feeding the cats!). Stop by this little hidden gem, and you’ll fall in love with its food and people, its colorful views and unforgettable atmosphere!

We went here for a lunch and everything was fantastic from the start until the end. Not too crowded with people as well because its a little bit hidden. Service was so warm and friendly, we loved it. Even if it was 3 of us, our server recomended to go for mix grill for 2 and he was right- we were full. Its very unusual these days that restaurant doesnt try to rob you especially in a such touristic cities like this. We paid only €60 euros for 3 people including a bottle of local wine and 3 coffees. The view from outside terrace is absolutely beautiful. They have a nice seatings inside as well. The food is very simple but very good. Loved it!

Lovely experience all around. Turned up without a reservation and the host/waiter greeted us enthusiastically and told us we were lucky: a table was just paying and if we waited a few minutes he would accommodate us. That was a theme for the service: every request was met with ‘of course! Sure! Why not!’ The view from the terrace is of course spectacular. We had the mixed meat platter for 2 and loved it (no chips or bread? Of course! Sure! Why not!?). Bosnia local wine was good too. And then a complimentary glass of rakia. Perfect dinner experience.

Restoran / Terrace Lagero was a brilliant place to visit during my time in Mostar, halal friendly and proud people of Mostar, brothers Jannan and Denis provide great service and are people who can talk to you as they speak good English. They make great coffee and a good traditional bosnian breakfast. It is cheap. I did not try the other food but I can imagine their cevapi is amazing. Brother Mustafa
