A Memorable Dining Experience with Iconic Views at Teracce Lagero I recently had the pleasure of dining at Terrace Lagero in Mostar, and it was an experience I won’t soon forget. We ordered the platter for four, which featured a mouthwatering selection of five different meats, all perfectly grilled and served on a bed of crispy fries. The meal began with a complimentary fresh salad, a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the rest of our visit.
The food was delicious—each type of meat was tender and flavourful, and the generous portions left us more than satisfied. The quality of the ingredients and the care in preparation were evident in every bite. The staff served us with genuine passion and warmth, making us feel truly welcome and valued throughout our meal. What truly sets Terrace Lagero apart is its breathtaking terrace view. The restaurant is located just steps from the UNESCO-protected Stari Most (Old Bridge), offering panoramic vistas of this iconic landmark and the Neretva River below. Dining al fresco as the sun sets over the Old Bridge is a magical experience that captures the spirit of Mostar.
The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, perfect for both locals and visitors looking to enjoy authentic Herzegovinian cuisine in a stunning setting. The staff are knowledgeable and happy to recommend local specialities or share stories about Mostar’s rich history.
In summary, Terrace Lagero is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking great food, passionate service, and unforgettable views of Mostar’s most famous landmark. I highly recommend it and look forward to...
Read moreThree tables at the very top of this super friendly Mostar restaurant have stupendous views of the Old Bridge while being covered so you don't get wet if it rains (as happened while we were eating). Given that this is obviously a place for tourists one might expect a so-so meal at an expensive price. However, while a little more than local average the prices were fair and the cooking excellent ( delicious trout particularly, good red wine by the glass and excellent Loza). However, what made the experience particularly memorable was the staff who were not only friendly and attentive - they went beyond the call of duty to retrieve a pair of reading glasses that had tumbled off our table and landed in the fenced yard area of a different, closed premises way below. That required climbing over sharp metal railings then jumping around 2m down a wet wall (and somehow getting back up again). A physical feat, but also one of considerable bravery give the wet conditions and possibility of injury. All in all this was an unforgettable experience that was one of several that helped make Mostar a really memorable places in our travels....
Read moreGreat restaurant with awesome views of the Old Bridge, nice atmosphere, super-friendly service and yummy authentic food. We were passing through Mostar on the way to Brela, and stopped by for a quick bite. The food was phenomenal, grilled fish is a must-try! We also got the meat combo dish, which didn’t disappoint. After the main meal we were treated to some local delights like fig pie and Bosnian coffee with rahat lukum (kind of local marmalade). We basked in the warmth and hospitality of the host, who told us stories about his childhood, reminiscing about the war days, and giving us some insight into political and everyday challenges of modern Bosnia. This is a family-run business, and we enjoyed the complete experience of immersion into Bosnian culture, starting with the host, a tall Bosnian in his early 40s serving the tables, his sister and his mother manning the kitchen, and a couple of stray cats enjoying the fish bones leftovers (our children especially loved feeding the cats!). Stop by this little hidden gem, and you’ll fall in love with its food and people, its colorful views and...
