My experience here was absolutely terrible. Let’s be real - it looks exactly like the kind of tourist trap you want to avoid. However, I had just arrived to the city by bus and it was 9.30pm, so I took a risk…
I ordered the šiš ćevape. The plate that I received was totally different from the picture and text description on the menu. No Ajvar, no grilled zucchini/peppers and none of the firm “cheese” shown and described in the menu. Instead, I received a raw tomato cut in half, some tomato cubes in yogurt(?), a ton of cream cheese and tortilla chips. One would think that these substitutions are worth mentioning at the point of ordering, but nothing was said. When I brought it up, the waitress seemed to think it was totally normal to swap out every item except for the meat itself and not say anything at all. She justified it by claiming that it had been a busy day. Here are two ideas - mention the substitutions or stop...
Read moreThe service at this place is just terrible, with some of the rudest waiters ever - and TERRIBLE hygiene. There is no bathroom or even a sink to wash your hands at this place. When my friends and I asked if we could wash our hands before eating, we were told that they don't have a sink and could give us wet wipes instead (!), and doing all of that while laughing to our faces. We just got up and left. I am shocked this place is even allowed to operate with such terrible lack of hygiene. As a native of Bosnia and Herzegovina, I am ashamed of how rude and impolite the staff is, and how dirty it is, that I would never recommend this place to any of my friends and colleagues visiting Mostar. There are way better and cleaner places to eat ćevapi in Mostar, such as Korzo, or Rota (the ćevapi place right next to it)!
No, thank you! I don't feel like scraping someone else's germs...
Read moreDuring our trip through Bosnia and Herzegovina, we had the pleasure of visiting Tima Irma – a place that truly deserves to be called a culinary gem of the region. From the very first moment, we were impressed by the warm atmosphere and friendly service, but what really stayed with us was the food.
Every dish we ordered was not only absolutely delicious but also incredibly generous in portion size. At Tima Irma, they prove that quantity and quality can go hand in hand – and in the best possible way. The meats were juicy and perfectly seasoned, the sides fresh and flavorful, and the homemade taste made us feel like we were part of a true Bosnian feast.
This is the kind of place you want to return to – not just for an exceptional meal, but for the warmth and authenticity it offers. I wholeheartedly recommend it to all food lovers and travelers – Tima Irma is a true...
