Hip interior belies meh food and slow, disorganized service.

Service is EXCEPTIONALLY SLOW. We ordered: 1) Dimsum platter, 2) Shrimp Fried rice (Chaufa Fuego), 3) Lamen Mar Y Tierra (ramen), 4) Jian Bao, 5) 2 hot teas

Tea took about 10 minutes to arrive. Dimsum platter followed at minute 25. Rest of food served by minute 40.

There were quite a few servers, but poorly organized….there was actually a shift change in the middle of our dinner and I think our food sat under the heat lamp for a bit as they figured out who was due to deliver it to us. Two of the four servers seemed more interested to place settings on empty tables than to deliver food the kitchen had placed on the serving counter! I was tempted to go retrieve my food myself! The restaurant was a little less than half full, with the waitstaff they should have been able to handle it, so I can only conclude the floor manager needs to find a new job!

At the end, the bill came to R$365 which already included a service charge and the waiter had the audacity to ask for more “if we liked the service! Huh?”

Food:

Jian Bao - more like a char Siu Bao on the inside, bottom not at all fried and crispy like a traditional jian bao

Dimsum - two Shanghai dumplings, 4 meatballs with canton sauce, a bunch of Korean chicken wings with sweet and sour sauce, 4 fried wontons that were actually quite tasty. Good to share.

Chaufa Fuego - basically an egg omelette with shrimp served over fried rice. Not bad but nothing special, fried rice didn’t have the fried texture to it.

Lamen (ramen) - broth didn’t have complexity of flavor you’d expect from ramen,...

Loved every single second of our dinner here: the service was sweet, fast and efficient in English, our amazing server gave multiple recommendations regarding the menu and would always approach us to make sure we were having a great time, I'd even say he was a little nervous. :) Food was definitely delicious, their starters are top level and funnily my partner and I were arguing over what we should order because there were so many good things on the menu, we simply couldn't decide — it's a good sign. The classic ceviche is 10/10! Their cocktail menu is extensive and creative and I also had the best time eating my main which was tuna with veggies in some kind of sweet oyster sauce — everything just went so well together. I absolutely loved that it wasn't heavy or greasy, you can tell they're using good ingredients and know how to cook. Big thanks to the chef (who we were told is Peruvian) and the entire team, we had such a lovely evening and cannot wait to return, wish there was more places like this around...

Location: cross street from Copacabana Palace hotel, and half block from the famous prestige beach. However, the neighborhood feels crappy, like New York 23rd street. Air conditioning: lacking Decor: a little overdone but tolerable Service: ok Food: subpar Tableware: plastic and some are chipped Utensils: fast food or school cafeteria

They opened late on this Sunday. One waitress serving the small room, who looks shaky when serving the wine. They don’t have tea, the hot steaming yummy tea.

Food: we’ve wanton, mapo tofu and garlic charsui (pork). Fried Wanton: so so. Only because I wanted dumplings during the Chinese lunar new year. The filling isn’t too bad Mapo tofu 麻婆豆腐: is 家常豆腐. No spicy at all. I asked for some spicy sauce, it came sweet. Garlic charsiu: what’s the hell is this one? Where is my garlic?!? Both tofu and this one use the same dark sauce, which is, so $5.99 Flushing.
