The name Fogo de Chão means "fire on the ground" and summarizes the traditional gaúcho method of roasting meats over an open fire. They offer a prix-fixe "full churrasco experience" which includes unlimited servings of various cuts of meat and an extensive "gourmet market table" for both lunch and dinner. Read moreOrdinary meat, poor service, expensive, and the valet damaged my car. If you are looking for a good brazilian steakhouse, this is definitely not the place. They serve only ordinary meat like picanha, fraldinha, sausages, cheese bread and fries... Had to beg for some lamb, and it wasn't good. Waiters were rude since they work so fast that they drop the meat juice in you, and sometimes they even don't say sorry. Really expensive for what they offer, there are better places nearby. I went there with my family, spent over 2000 BRL and I won't ever...
Read moreFogo de Chão is a must if you're a person with an apetite! It is a Brazilian Rodízio churrascaria, so expect lots of beef.
The service is of top quality. Once you begin your meal, you're given a card with a greed and a red side. Green means go; red means stop. If you have your card turned green, be prepared to be constantly offered a serving of meat. And when I say constantly, I mean every two minutes, max. As long as your card is green, your plate will never be left empty.
The meats are well prepared and delicious as expected. The salad bar is plentiful and full of quality - but if you're going for rodízio, I'd save the apetite for the meat.
It is somewhat costy, but the service is worth the price.
The place is always full, so you know it's a place people like and enjoy to eat at.
If I ever go back, this is a must...
